1. Share Review not showing online "pins"

   The comments are marked on web as "Non Mapped Comments" while in Indesign they´re showed in right places!

3. JPG 300dpi export with horizontal lines

   When I export photo albums as JPG with the latest version, some images have horizontal lines. I've had the problem since macOS 10.14. (now catalina) and with older Indesign versions. If I change the size or position of the image, the stripes may disappear. If I use the DPI e.g. set to 301, the lines will also disappear.

4. Pages palette not populating

   imac 10.11.6 (El Capitan) Using 2nd admin, InD files from 1st admin not populating Pages palette. Page icons appear but are blank.
   100pp magazine with many images prepped for offset printing.
   However 1st admin InD files with only text pages open fine in 2nd admin.

6. Type vanishes once edited in text boxes

   Following update of OS to Monterey 12.0.1 and using InDesign 2022 17.0.1, opening files that had been previously created, when editing text within text boxes, as soon as I click elsewhere then the text within the box vanishes - as thought there's not enough room for it, when there is.
   Sometimes clicking back on it causes it to reappear, sometimes the box just won't return as a visible element.

8. Find ‘Book’ font style bug

   In InDesign 2021 (the latest version both on Mac and Windows), I add a text frame and fill it with placeholder text which is set, by default, to Minion Pro - Regular.
   Then I go to the find-change dialog box and set 'find format > basic character format > font style' to Book.
   And guess what happens when I hit the ‘find next’ button? It selects all the ‘regular text. (The document has no text with the 'book' font style applied!)
   Selecting another style — e.g. Bold, Italic, etc. — results, as expected, in the 'cannot find match' alert.
   Looks like a bug to me!
   The same problem occurs with GREP search as well.
   Also, other users reported me that it happens in CS6, CC 2017, 2019 and 2020.

12. Printing Documents with VFs directly from InDesign is broken, need to export to PDF first

    Hello support team!
    We at Dalton Maag noticed that we couldn't print documents containing variable fonts directly from InDesign 16.3 on macOS Big Sur. Export to a PostScript file produces a broken file. The document needs to be exported to PDF first. We found this issue on our client font but managed to reproduce it with Source Serif VF from https://github.com/adobe-fonts/source-serif/releases/tag/4.004R.

    I sent the following files to Josh Hadley at Adobe:

    • A ZIP containing test documents, a broken exported PostScript file and a correctly exported PDF file
    • An AVI showing how we tested
    • A JPG showing what comes out of the printer

    We have found one "fix" or "workaround" for this: go into the print settings, "Graphics", and select font subsetting. maybe InDesign should do that by default.

13. Double hyphen in words that already contain hyphen (minus)

    Since a few weeks (we think since the InDesign 16.1 x64 update), we see a major problem in a lot of our books:
    Words that already contain a hyphen (minus sign: -), and that are hyphenated automatically by InDesign, get a double hyphen!
    Normally, when hyphenated words are at the end of the line, the 'hard typed' hyphen gets replaced by the automatic hyphen (with the blue ~ added above it), but now the automated hyphen is added, so we get two consecutive hyphens (--). Sometimes on the same line, sometimes one on the next (see example screenshot).

    This is a serious and big problem, experienced by everyone in our team (10 people), on multiple different projects (using templates we use for years already).

    It causes a major liability issue towards our customers, when the books are printed this way! Please fix this.

    We are all on Windows 10 Pro and have the latest version installed (InDesign 16.1 x64)

14. Can't Duplicate multiple Page with Alt + Drag and place them in a specific place just moves to bottom

    This used to work but the past years updates have stopped this function, again another thing that worked removed! You used to be able to shift click on a few pages in the pages panel then alt drag them and place them ANYWHERE in the document, sometimes i liked them straight underneath current pages but now for some unknown reason its doesn't allow me to do this with more than one page? when you try to move the selected pages nothing happens and the pages are just duplicated at the end of the document not very helpful with a 100 page document why has this been removed?

15. Cross-reference doesn't find all instances of a ¶ style

    When I try to insert or edit a cross-reference, InDesign finds only about half the instances with the specified ¶ style, so I can't insert the needed cross-ref.

16. InDesign: Changing color of TIFF

    Having an issue with InDesign. I've placed a TIFF file and its not displaying correctly when color is changed for BLACK only. See video attached. I can change the color percentage on any color but black.

    However, when a PDF is exported the changes are applied and display correctly on a PDF. This is a DISPLAY issue within InDesign. PLEASE HELP!!!

17. Can't rename object in 2022

    Same issue like here, but posting this again to get a response to this, because the response below that post is a big joke. The admin assumes that the bug report is too stupid to rename an object. But the gif clearly shows that 1. the admin hat the window arranged differently and 2. in the gif with the bug you see the rename window flickering.

    I did the work adobe should do and tested it a bit.

    The result is different depending on if the windows is floating, docked or expanded. Float and expand works, dock not.

    I have this issue on the latest ID version 17.0.1 on multiple macs.
    M1 Mac with Big Sur
    Intel Mac with Catalina
    Intel Mac with Big Sur

    So if it's still not clear: You can't rename an object (although you can rename layers) when the layers panel is docked to the side. The rename "box" appears for a short time and instantly disappears again. This does not happen when the window is expanded or floating!
