Organize styles per book, not per file.
Having to synch the styles manually instead of just having the styles available throughout the book is a pain. Also I cannot synch single styles. There is an object style I use for chapter headings, the objects get displaced everytime I synch.

library panels display
the background color of the library panels in Indesign and Illustrator take on the same color of the interface (as from the latest version of indesign CC 16.1) As I have the dark interface selected, the icons and other assets are almost invisible. There is no way to change it, switching to the light interface is the only thing that helps.

Spellcheck Bug
Spellcheck/User Dictionary keeps defaulting to random languages and cannot not be changed. I've changed my preferences to English (US) several times manually and it will not fix the problem. Please fix this bug.

widespread issues with unicode fonts (tibetan) and footnotes
macos 10.13.6, ID 15.1.3
completely wacky behaviour of footnotes in combination with unicode tibetan fonts (dduchen, noto, babelstone tibetan). fn numbers in text do not follow formatting, in footnote reference numbers are only one digit (most of the time) and sometimes proper digits (occacionally). odd spaces before letters and words (all fonts), strange behavior with formate changes. this is as ********* as it gets.1 vote -
Problem with Keyboard Shortcuts
On a Mac [10.14.6] I set the F8 key to bring up the Paragraph Style Option box [image attached]. With the most recent update the F8 key does not work unless I have the Paragraph Style Panel open [image attached]. This is an obscure bug but it just means I need one more panel open to access the F8 shortcut. This short cut has worked for a zillion years until now. I hope this is of assistance. Thanks.

items are missing from artwork when i copy it from illustrator and paste it into indesign. So frustrating!!!!
just make seamless copying/pasting between illustrator and InDesign.
would be even better if you can open an Illustrator file with InDesign. or if you could make InDesign like a render queue so you can better compress and save your photoshop and illustrator files to pdfs and other file types

Color profiles not working on 16 bit images
When mounting 16 bit images the program always assigns the dokument profile.
When convering images to 8 bit it works properly and the image profile is assigned.Only InDesign 2021 (v16.0)

InDesign 16.0 on Catalina is constantly laggy
Whether I've just opened a file and am waiting for it to appear, or I've just clicked on an object and am waiting for the chance to manipulate it, that stupid beach ball just won't go away! Please fix!

key commands randomly stop working
This is in InDesign version 16.0.1.
Key commands randomly stop working for zoom (command + spacebar), proportional sizing (command + shift and command + option + shift), and even just using shift to move on a vertical or horizontal line.
I use these constantly and the only way I have found to fix them is to restart my machine. restarting the program does not work and I can't find any conflict that may be causing this.2 votes -

Using plugins for work flow media news.
Not updated InDesign since the plugins have not released newer supportive version to latest InDesign versions.
I cannot use Object menu options like Fitting, Lock, Arrange..
I have reset the preferences multiple times.
Its just not solving this issue.

InDesign performance issues: text tool
InDesign performance issues (version 15.1.1 x64 - 32GB RAM installed - Win 10 - Adobe Creative Cloud).
From the previous version the Text tool slows down the program considerably; it is not possible to work with at least two open files (I work with multiple open files, never a problem).
So the work is very slow !!! Please provide a solution. Thank you!4 votes -
InDesign doesn't sort numbers at the beginning of filenames naturally when placing multiple files, instead opting for alphabetical
InDesign CC 2020, 15.1.2 (Mac, but possibly Windows, I can't test)
Place multiple image files where filenames start with increasing numbers (e.g. page numbers).
Expected: files get placed in order 1, 2, 3, ..., 10, 11, ..., 100, 101, etc.
Actual: files get placed in order 1, 10, 100, ..., 2, 20, 200, 201, 3, ..., etcIt doesn't follow the OS implementation of natural order sorting, so placing a lot of images doesn't match the Finder. It instead uses alphabetical sorting, which is counterintuitive.

Indesign 16.0.1 sometimes crashes when saving
Indesign 16.0.1 on my month-old iMac, crashes daily usually when I'm saving my 80 page catalog, I don't know when it will happen. The book contains links from Drive, Dropbox and another computer.
Yesterday's crash damaged the file but luckily I could use a recently saved version.

Beim Exportieren bzw. PDF Schreiben ist das Fenster JEDES MAL "klein" und zusammengeschoben. Soll man jedes Mal das Fenster maximieren?
