1. Tab order window is not resizable

   I design a lot of long forms inside of InDesign. Part of this process is getting the tab order correct. The Tab Order window only displays 9 rows and is not resizable. This makes at a glance review of the tab order impossible.

   Additionally, dragging and dropping rows above/below each other is broken. The blue line that signifies where I am about to drag something to does not always match up with where the drop actually happens. Sometimes it can be above another field.

   Similarly, if I move a block of rows at once, the view of the window will revert to the top of all of tabs, regardless of where in the list I'm looking. This is extremely frustrating when you just want to move a block of tabs one or two places, but have to do it blindly.

   Please make the tab order window resizable.

2. pages breaking and vertical lines on screen

   When i am working in any document since updating to Indesign 17 including the recent 17.0.1 the pages start to get vertical lines and horizontal lines, and the design elements start overlapping or having duplicates, tables will not display as aligned, trying to select text and my curser is really clicking 2 lines above. If i click "W" to toggle between Presentation view and back sometimes that will fix some of it and other times it will make it worse. I have attached a few screen shots to show how it will display different pages. When i go to export this it is fine in PDF format, but it is making it very challenging to work with, and with some huge 150+ page books we are working on, the file is saved in this version now and we are afraid to revert back to the 16.X version of indesign for fear of creating issues with out client document. I have uninstalled indesign completly including all settings and preferences and reinstalled but that has not helped with the issue.

3. Workspace disappears when reverting back from Presentation Mode

   When reverting back to Normal Screen Mode, after being in Presentation Mode, the workspace toolbars disappear.

4. Highlight filename in save window

   Just upgraded to the M1 Mac version 17.0.1, and the file name is not highlighted by the default.

   Please fix. AND ONLY THE FILE NAME. NOT THE EXTENSION.

5. ID 2021: New documents open in the background of home screen

   Windows 10, ID 2021 (16.4)
   Bug 1: new documents open in the background of the home screen. See video.
   Bug 2: if the home screen isn't shown and you create a new file, the home screen will appear and lay over the new document.
   Bug 3: if you change anything on the page, the home screen appears
   Bug 4: if you create multiple new documents and close them, it will sometimes ask to save them and sometimes it won't.

   I got the problem that the menu that should appear when you click on an "hamburger" button in the top right corner of a toolbar doesn't appear.
   This happens on a second screen when you got more than one screen/monitor, and the main screen has higher resolution than the second one. It also only happens to toolbars that are positioned near the bottom edge of the second screen and where the menu height is larger than the distance between the "hamburger" button and the bottom edge of the screen.

9. User Interface got large

   The User interface got large and many commands in the control bar have been hidden even if I set it on Small in the preferences!
   I can't get the small interface that was in the previous version.

10. prompt message

    a prompt appears on the bottom of my indesign screen after opening an old file I need to work on (my portfolio):

    "Type 1 fonts will no longer be supported after 2023

    A blue message box regarding Type 1 not being support starting 2023. Your document contains 0 Type 1 fonts...... more info....."

    That box is not leaving my workspace even after I click for more information; It obstructs my workspace.

    The chat technician says:

    "The message must only be popping up while working on the document. It will not appear once you export it to other file format. I am sharing you a link where you can post your suggestion regarding the product :
    https://indesign.uservoice.com/
    I will also be sharing the issue with my senior to fix this if possible."

    So my suggestion is to please add a "close window" after one reads the message - I will be working on many old files (as I'm new to Creative Cloud) and this will continue to be an issue for me. I understand that 2023 is when this will no longer be working. I can not substitute all of my files (so much extra work) that quickly - to rid this box to work effectively. So the close window will be super helpful ;/

12. Window size and position is forgotten

    Even though another entry entitled "InDesign in Windows ALWAYS forgets app size and position!" is marked as "Fixed/Solved" elsewhere in these pages, the issue is not fixed. In fact, it is more persistent in the latest 16.2.1 "update"... plus, ID crashes way more often now as well... I know this is another issue but for me when InDesign does not work as advertised, the whole thing –crashes, window size and position– is ONE issue: Adobe InDesign is buggy, more than ever, period.

14. InDesign 16.2.1 + Mojave still missing Create New Folder (cmd+shift+N) and Show Original (cmd+R)

    Adobe please fix this issue. It very frustrating that you can not create folder inside open/save window dialog with a shortcut. Every other program allows that. Am I the only one that is using keyboard shortcuts? This bug is there now for about half a year. Is it really so hard to fix this? Pleeeeeease.

15. What if I could double click the application title bar to minimize a window into the dock?

    Dear Adobe,
    Double-clicking a title bar to minimize a window is Mac behavior that goes back to the first release of OS10 in 2001. It is based on an even older behavior from OS9 where double clicking a title bar would "windowshade" the window like a roller blind rolling up into itself.

    Apple and Adobe train us all the time to adapt to new technologies and interfaces. Some behaviors we learn are easy to shake off and adapt to the new ones, especially if we haven't done them for very long. As a creative professional who has obviously done this for a long time, I've learned to be flexible. But this one, the reflex is so second-nature to me. Double click the title bar, the window should minimize to the dock.  I still have this problem, Adobe, and I cuss a blue streak every time I double click the title bar in indesign and instead of minimizing, it mocks me and fills the screen! 

    Adobe please be consistent on these matters. Either return this functionality back to indesign and illustrator, or remove it from ALL the apps so users can move on. 

    Don't get me started on all the different ways each program resizes objects uniformly. Or zooms, for crying in a bucket. :)

    Hi, I am having problems with the UI Scaling on InDesign on my 4k laptop. I am using the recommended system scaling of 250% which works well with other apps except for Adobe, most noticeably InDesign. I pay a premium price for Adobe CC which should be reflected in their products. The UI is way too small on InDesign compared to Illustrator and Photoshop.

    I also have problems in all adobe apps when using an external monitor to expand my screen size. Dragging the apps from one monitor to the other does all sorts of weird things.

    I have attached images showing the difference of the UI between Illustrator (which looks normal) and InDesign.

20. InDesign 16.1 icon shrank

    Just updated to InDesign 16.1. It appears that the app icon underwent significant shrinkage for some reason (at least on Mac, macOS 11.2).

    Please restore its original size!
