InDesign CC 2018/High Sierra - Cannot package files
Since updating to High Sierra I am not able to package files. The error message is simply "Unable to package the document. InDesign cannot access '(file name'.indd).
I am using InDesign CC 13.0.1 on macOS High Sierra 10.13.1
Don't know if this is of any use or not, but also if I try using my bulk packaging script, the error I get is "undefined is not an object (line 186)
The issue has been fixed with Apple’s MacOS High Sierra 10.13.4 Beta (17E139).
You can try out the fix by updating your machine to the beta update from Apple.
Let us know if the issue is fixed for you after aforementioned High Sierra beta update.

what is the status on this? Still having issues.
I really need this issue fixed ASAP, seriously effecting my work not being able to package!!!
My 5 users have the same issue after upgraded to High Sierra
Please let me know.
I have the same packaging issue, CC 113.0.1 and OS High Sierra 10.13.1 on an SMB network connection.
I'm experiencing the same thing. I have to take the extra step to copy to desktop and then package. The bug needs to be fixed, ridiculous to have to take that extra step. Don't upgrade to High Sierra!!!!
Experiencing the same issues. Unable to package any files to the server since Nov 2017. Need to copy to my files to the desktop and then package, only to save back to the server. Cannot believe one has to be inconvenienced like this when paying for software that does not come cheap. It's 2018, for goodness sake fix the problem!!
Please fix. Thanks!!
so is this being fixed or what?

I had the same error. I don't know if this is helpful to the rest of you, but what worked for me was packaging it from my desktop instead of a server. Maybe try that?
welcome in 2018!

what the f*ck ADOBE! why do we pay you for this crappy software?
this is a serious problem for people who's job relies on this product/function (packaging). Also my Adobe Bridge started freezing every time I cut and paste files. tried everything from your blogs
why does it take months to fix packaging files
hurry up and fix this its been months and there's no time frame on a resolution still
We are having the same issue. We rely on packaging to get collateral done for our nonprofit.
We're having the same issue in my office and changing to AFP server address did not resolve the issue. Not being able to package the file is a big inconvenience, not to mention saving to the desktop and packaging from there increases the chance of errors. Hopefully a real resolution is developed soon.
I had this problem packaging to a QNAP NAS device. However, we learned that connecting to the NAS via AFP resolved the issue for us (instead of SMB).
I have the same packaging issue. Dragging the indd file to my desktop and packaging from there works. However, this issue stalls work flow.
I have teh same packaging issue, CC 18 and OS High Sierra on an SMB network connection.

Same issue, High Sierra CC2018. Have to save INDD to desktop then I can package to server. Needs to be addressed. This is causing massive workflow issues.
