Organize styles per book, not per file.
Having to synch the styles manually instead of just having the styles available throughout the book is a pain. Also I cannot synch single styles. There is an object style I use for chapter headings, the objects get displaced everytime I synch.

Resizing object with 'Auto-Fit' enabled now broken in 15.1
In version 15.0.3 and earlier, if you enabled the 'Auto-Fit' option and then resized an object by entering values in the Width or Height fields the content would resize along with the frame (as expected).
With 15.1 this no longer works. The frame resizes but the content doesn't. Only way for 'Auto-Fit' to behave as expected is to drag the frame handles.

Numpad bug with paragraph styles
Loading an old Indesign file (version 2016 or older) in the new Version Indesign CC2020 causes a new bug.
1.) I use Indesign CC 15.0.1 (2020)
2) Open an old file of Indesign with many defined paragraph styles (from 2016 or older) --> try to edit some texts use text cursor klick in a textbox and type a 1, a 3 or a 4 on the numpad.
3) I expect that the numbers 1, 3 or 4 to be typed.
4) The paragraph style changes to another style without any shortcut set in the file or the paragraph style.

[ Versions 14 and 15 ] Adjust Layout | Liquid Page Rule "Scale" is affecting the result
Hi together,
as it seems feature Adjust Layout is actually affected by Liquid Page Rule.Two identical pages will scale type differently if Liquid Page Rule is set to "Based on Master" on one page and "Scale" on the other page.
This seems to be a bug. Liquid Page Rule should not affect the result of Adjust Layout. Applied my test documents from my German InDesign 2020 15.0.2.310 on Windows 10:

The custom baseline grid is not working at all if a table's text frame is rotated.
It is working with text outside a table if the frame is rotated.

JavaScript appliedMaster override causes textFrame to move on X axis
When overriding via JavaScript, the same elements (textFrames) move 0.75" to the right on the x axis!
This does not happen when overriding master elements on a page manually - everything works as expected i.e. the textFrames don't move.
I'm using InDesign 14.0.2 x64 on Windows 10.

Align controls not showing up in panel.

resize
Just updated to Indesign 2024 (v19), and it appears the method of resizing/scaling an image or shape has changed. But for the life of me, I cannot figure out what it has changed to. Before this update, cmd-shift/drag the corner would resize an item proportionately. That doesn't work anymore. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance.

Auto fit Frame Fitting Options Bugged
As you can see in the example below the container selected is only 6 mm high if I crop it by -x amount, to have a white border around it, it does not do that consistently through all selected containers.
With this container it crops a fraction of the actual number.

Document Setup -> Adjust Layout only partially works
I needed to blow up an A4 design to 2000mm high and the Adjust Layout (see image for settings I used) does not produce the same layout. See attached images.

Tools are now blocking me from being able to close open documents in InDesign
Since updating to the newest version: V 18.5 the tools bar is now blocking the name and the ability to close down the first document. For accessibility reasons, I need the toolbar to remain on the left without blocking access to the document.

Cannot adjust layout
Cannot adjust the layout from a 6x9" doc to 5x8". Have done this successfully with over 14 indesign documents.

major error please help
I was just updating the file for some revision, when i printed it out as pdf, I noticed my first page is empty. I went back to my indesign file and saw that my spread became so small ( actually its the pages 1, 4, 5). theres this black color and somewhat black rule guide which ididnt put in and I cannot select.. I dont whats happening here... please help..

Be able to anchor already created text box
Use Case Scenario: Create text box, use text box. Realize it'd be nice to anchor already created text box to another text box/object/???.
Current workflow: copy text, delete text box, find anchor point, insert anchor point, adjust anchor point, create anchored text box, copy text box, further adjust text box.
Desired workflow: right click on text box/text -> select "anchor to [text/object/???]", anchor to [text/object/???], adjust anchor point settings. No need to redo entire content.Why can't this be done? It's always an option for non-text box content boxes/objects, correct? So why can't text box boxes also considered content boxes?…

adjust layout not resizing all pages in file
Why would Adjust Layout only resize the first 2 (out of 128) pages in my INDD doc? It's only happening on one file. all others resize all 128 pages...as far as I know, the file structures are all identical (they were copied from a master template)...
