1. The pdf file I export is not the same with the file I saw in my screen!

   The pdf file I export is not the same with the file I saw in my screen. The preview when I working in indesign is wrong. So when I put my cursor in a line to make a corrections this correction is done about 3 or 4 lines below my selection.

2. index alphabetizing with multiple words

   When there an index entry has more than one word, the space between the words is improperly accounted for resulting in misalphabetized entries. See screenshots.
   Using ID CC 2018, but I've seen examples going back 2 years.

3. eyedropper tool

   Adobe InDesign CC 2017 (also 2018) The eyedropper tool does not work on text, when there is a second layer with data in it. On the screenshot I tried to make the text green.
   When the red layer is turned off, it works properly.

   when I put the mouse in Archive and try to go to new, the system go to help. so to cant creat a new document or insert a image, except using the keyboard

5. Can't Open JPEG file

   Hi there

   I am having trouble opening up .jpeg files from Indesign. It is installed as a part of my Creative Cloud subscription. Please see attached for the error that pops up. Your help will be appreciated.

   JPEG files cannot be opened directly in InDesign. They can only be placed.
   Create a new document and from the File menu, select the Place option. Select a JPEG file and click Open.

6. Adjusting dashes and gaps on path moves dashes off path

   Opened a PDF of a line chart in Illustrator, copied/pasted into InDesign CC 13.0.1, then noticed the dashes of stroked paths didn't follow the path accurately in some places. On setting the "Corners" control to "None" those path's dashes snapped precisely to the path, but selecting any of the three Corners settings made the dashes move off the path the same amount. 7. Links panel sorting

   InDesign CC 2018, 13.1 (mac os 10.13.4)

   panels: links: panel options: show column: Scale.

   Bug:
   The sorting function for "Scale" in links panel doesn't work properly.
   If I sort by scaling percentages, they list incorrectly.

   Example: 187 % comes between 21 % and 15 %.
   That means it sorts them alphabetically as digits, but should sort them as numbers. Please fix.

8. Converting all URLs to links is converting anything with dot between two words

   When trying to convert all URLs to links, it seems that the regex used also targets things like V.ii and converts that into a link. Shouldn't it be looking for anything with http or www?

9. Dialog open to custom location on click of place option in indesign

   Click on place option in indesign.

   Dialog should open with custom location set from the script, not the previous opened location.

   Is there a way to control place dialog, to always show my custom location??

11. Bug no longer able to import .emf files after update 13.0.1.

    After the update all the .emf files I had imported into my layout were gone (showed a grey box with cross). I also could not import any of the old emf files into any documents.

    I re-installed the older version and everything worked well again. So must be a bug in the latest update.

12. OSX Ruler units can't be changed using mouse button

    2. Try to change using mouse: Ruler units to (fe.) millimeters
    3. The units change
    4. The dropdown menu opens, but units won't change (scrolling and arrow keys works)

14. Preview bug, always scrambled

    Preview is always messed up. Images attached, text is often spliced like this until I zoom in and out. Sometimes overprint preview helps but it's happening frequently and I can't see what my work looks like...

17. Endnotes and multi-language layers

    InDesign CC 13.1

    As a long-time user of ID, I want to report what looks to me like a serious bug.

    Working on a multi-language book project for the first time since the endnotes feature was introduced, I noticed that when importing the second language on a separate layer (as I have been doing for many years without any problems) the endnotes are imported with correct references in the text but the notes themselves lose their numbers, showing the dreaded <?> instead.
    Trying to work around the problem using David Blatner's DTP tools' "import layers" feature gives the same result.
    It is my experience that the Introduction of the second language with its notes also jumbles up the arrangement of the notes of the first language (which were alright to begin with).

    Since we are making books in simultaneously published language editions all the time, the possibility to combine the use of both endnotes and layers is crucial. Now, in the middle of the project I had to revert to the old ways with separate files for separate languages, which is a pain as you can imagine.

    I would even settle for forgoing the assets of the endnotes function and working with "dead" endnotes—as I have been doing for so many years—in order to regain the benefit of using layers, but, unfortunately, this version of ID does not allow me to import the notes as normal text.

18. If Paragraph Format uses Shade, only the first line is underlined (instead of all) (Layer Problem!)

    Its not a suggestion, its a bug.
    Under Indesign 13.1, when e.g. a whole page is styled to have a gray shade behind it, and some paragraphs have to be undelined, then ALWAYS the Line before a hard return does not show the underline, because I suppose a layer problem occurs. Indesign seems to see the text on top, then applies the shade and under that the underlining for the text, which won't be shown then. The descenders are shown normally, since they are on top in the text layer. I have not found a way to tell the underline to be the same layer as the text it underlines and from my point of view this seems to be a bug, which should be fixable (and should be fixed).

19. CC libraries

    CC Libraries doesn't load up properly, the drop down menu only stays open if I hold down left click on the mouse and doesn't load the library I want when I release.

    This bug has only come since the most recent update to CC2018 13.1. Running High Sierra on an iMac Pro 2017

20. Windows recents files (at opening)

    Sometimes the files are two times on the panel (same file) and sometimes is a wrong link (opening an other file the icon seems to be).
    Quit, refresh, open an other file : nothing to get the right link.
    Since the late update march 2018 ; I am on 13.1.

    You can download the latest version of InDesign from the Creative Cloud Desktop application.
