CC Libraries doesn't load up properly, the drop down menu only stays open if I hold down left click on the mouse and doesn't load the library I want when I release.
This bug has only come since the most recent update to CC2018 13.1. Running High Sierra on an iMac Pro 20173 votes
Sometimes the files are two times on the panel (same file) and sometimes is a wrong link (opening an other file the icon seems to be).
Quit, refresh, open an other file : nothing to get the right link.
Since the late update march 2018 ; I am on 13.1.
Thank you for resolving idea,
We have recently released InDesign CC 2019 and we believe that this issue should no longer occur.
You can download the latest version of InDesign from the Creative Cloud Desktop application.
Please confirm if the issue has got fixed.

Current documentation refers to this page: https://www.adobe.com/devnet/indesign/documentation.html
But all the documentation there is from Adobe InDesign CS6 -- five major versions ago. Also, the documentation on tagged text seems to be missing.
Can updates be made so new features and changes are documented?
Thank you,1 vote
When I export a story to text, the resulting file contains errors:
• Extra ¶ break when text starts a new column in InDesign
• No space when there was a non-standard space in InDesign, i.e. ⅓ space, en space,....1 vote
I combined single pdf pages into a new binder. Labeled page numbers, and some with prefix. Saved it out as a optimized file and the numbers are now relabeling themselves. Tends to happen when I have created a prefix in the page labels. Never happened before Adobe CC 2018.1 vote
There is a problem when doings packages between Windows & Mac OS : since years when you do a package on an OS through another the fonts saved in the folder "Document Fonts" is not recognized by the OS...
So we can't open & modify the document when we received a package from Windows when we are on MAC OS or vice-versa.
So we need the client to supply the fonts one by one which is quite annoying.1 vote

I'm using InDesign CC (latest version) on a Macbook Pro 15" (OS 10.13.3) together with a Dell 24" monitor. Most of my pallettes (except the very basic ones) are on my Macbook, while I have my workfield on the bigger monitor. What happens is that the pop-up menus of the pallettes i keep on the on the Macscreen appear on the big monitor, for instance all the transparancy-options. Very annoying and time-consuming!
I tried resetting the prefs, re-installed InDesign, but no effect. Does anybody recognize this and have a fix? Thanks a lot!3 votes
Dictionary does not use USA English. Settings are for USA but dictionary finds error in spelling of "labor" only accepting "labour"1 vote
If we close Indesign or Incopy without checking in, the program will ask us if we want to. When we choose to check in, Adobe will act like it Checks In and then closes, but the changes are never saved back to the original file. Check In only works if we choose Check In manually before closing.1 vote
The scenario mentioned is working as expected for us on both Mac & Win. Could you elaborate on the exact steps you are doing when you see this not working as expected?

Our company works with two fonts called "CalloutTS" and "CalloutTS2". They are similiar, but not the same. For years everything worked fine. But since the CC 2018 update, InDesign can't differentiate between these two fonts anymore. You can now only select "CalloutTS". But depending on which computer your working on it randomly shows either the glyphs of "CalloutTS" or of "CalloutTS2". InDesign reads the font name of "CalloutTS2" now also as "CalloutTS" and can't decide which font to show. It seems like a simple digit isn't enough anymore to differentiate between two font names. This is a huge problem because the fonts are really similiar but some characters are totally different.
The same problem occurs in Illustrator and Photoshop CC 2018.
When I switch back to CC 2017 everything works fine but it's not possible for everyone involved to switch back to the old version.

Print dialog set to print 3 x 3 thumbnails. I selected Postscript File in the Printer menu, and it blocked the thumbnails options. I saved the .ps file, but it was not usable:
When the file was converted [whether with Acrobat Distiller or Preview], the layout was for a vertical page layout, with the right page of each spread cut off.
Question: How can I create a usable Postscript or PDF file for thumbnails?1 vote
Make the new document margins and the drop down menu for margins the same. Top, bottom, inside, outside are indifferent places if you are tabbing thru to fill. So frustrating...1 vote
When exporting XML from InDesign you can choose to export optimized images. In CC2017 and earlier the image element would include a href_opt attribute with the path to the exported optimized image.
In CC2018, this attribute is not included.
The href_FMT and href attributes do carry through.1 vote
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a shape (Rectangle, Circle, Polygon)
2. Add stroke to shape
3. Change stroke alignment
- Stroke changes alignment to what the user set (inside, outside, centered).
- Shape size (and bounding box) change, while stroke remains aligned inside the bounding box.2 votes
The stroke is always shown inside the bounding box for all three types of stroke alignments. But if you check the size of the object, it will be different for different stroke alignments.
For example, if you have a square of 100 pt x 100 pt with a 20 pt stroke weight aligned to Center, its W & H = 120 pt. Similarly for the same square, if the stroke is aligned to Inside, its W & H = 100 pt while for stroke aligned to Outside, its W & H = 140 pt.
This is how it has been designed.
this keeps popping up and I cant convert my file. What can I do??1 vote
