Issues with MacOS custom keyboards and InDesign
The users have InDesign V16.1 installed on macOS Big Sur (11.4).
They use custom software keyboards (created with Ukelele) to type Native American language characters (Salish via IPA). They use custom fonts that have the required glyphs for the language. OpenType marks are used for composing characters. The fonts are both Unicode and OpenType compliant. Frequently a properly composed character will consist of a primary glyph (such as "K") followed by a combining glottal and a wsuperior. command and option keys stop working
Several times a day my command and option keys stop working in Adobe products. Only logging out will briefly fix the problem.
There doesn't seem to be any clear fixes for this online. Any ideas?

Issues in rendering some Assamese conjuncts
The Assamese 'reph' and 'rakaar' are not properly rendered while using the Assamese font "Banikanta", a font released by Govt. of Assam in India. The font can be downloaded from http://www.publicationboardassam.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/Banikanta.zip
The font works well in all the other tools and platforms including MS-Word, Libre office etc.
Being associated with the development of this font, I have seen that the issue is seen due to the problem of the improper rendering of Adobe InDesign. In this font we have skipped the mapping of Bengali "Ra" (U+09B0) to construct the 'reph' and 'rakaar" as it is not used in Assamese and…

Mac InDesig 16.1 opens files on Synology NAS as read-only
Has anyone report any permission problems with Mac OS Big Sur 11.2.3? I am opening InDesign files and on my Mac and they open fine. On another Mac, same OS, they are opening READ-ONLY. The permissions on the Synology haven't changed since we bought it.
I already contacted Synology. We have 4 Macs running the latest InDesign. This read-only problem is happening on 2 of them. We are connecting AFP.
We did try on one Mac to reboot in recovery-mode and reinstall the OS. We also uninstalled and reinstalled InDesign. Neither fixed the problem.2 votes -
In a document imported from word, endnote links don't work.
I imported a word document with endnotes in indesign 2021. The link between the reference numbers and the endnote texts doesn't work. Any suggestion?

Uservoice shows error message and creates double posts
I've klicked on publish button and got a error message at my last post.
I thought maybe it's a problem with the size of the attachment, so I've tried an other file and got no problems at publishing.
Now I've seen, that the first two attempts, that were stopped by a error message of this system here, were published too.
So fyi, I didn't want to make a double or tripple post.Maybe you want to take a look at this behaviour too.

animated zoom
The animated zoom isn't working in InDesign on external monitors. This happens across the board for all documents. Doesn't happen in Photoshop or Illustrator.

hand tool
Since one week my hand-tool doesn't work anymore. After restarting my computer it works for one or maybe two minutes. Then again no hand tool with the space-bar. This is a problem Indesign has for almost 10 years now. Please help

index bug
Hi, I've got a large book which I'm indexing. I need to index our product codes alongside indexing normal reference - two examples are PBR030SETK and PBR30SETK. When I reference both of these (separately) the index automatically adjusts the second reference to match the previously indexed reference eg if I tag PBR030SETK that works fine, but then when I tag PBR30SETK it adjusts the reference to be PBR030SETK, but they should be appearing as two separate references. I typically tag product codes with a $ first, but it has the same glitch whether the dollar sign is tagged in the…

InDesign M1 Expired
Hi,
Just downloaded (2021-06-01) the M1 version and ... seems 'expired'.
I've have 'repaired' CreativeCloud, logged out, removed the InDesign M1 version then reinstalled it but I always get the 16.3.0.5 version.
I've found a post re this expiration which told about the 16.3.0.14 but where can I get it ?

cc libraries
In 2021 update, the cc libraries freeze and are unavailable. I tried to delete something from my library 3 times, and nothing happened. Then I closed the window, and when I reopened it had deleted three things.
Anyone else having issues with libraries with the new update?I know the 2021 update is still really new, so if this is already being fixed I apologize.

scale tool freeze
I am using the latest InDesign CC 2021 and my operating system is: MacOS Catalina version:10.15.4. I can't use the scale tool very often. It happens to any file, not limited to a specific file. What happens is if I use scale tool for more than 3-4 times, the software will freeze. So in the dialogue box, I am not able to click into and enter any number, it is just frozen. I can't even right-click at the app icon to select "quit", I can only force quit through Apple command.

TOC is not reading page number correcting.
The title I'm creating TOC from contains the 'current page number' marker.
It doesn't matter the format of the numbering I have set, ie. a, b, c or i. ii. iii or 001, 002, 003.
it will only show the absolute number of the page in the document.

the proofreader does not underline mistakes in InDesign
