"haven't" contraction hyphenating in English USA
Unlike most of the other common contractions in English, the word "haven't" hyphenates at the end of a line. It shouldn't.

Importing Microsoft Word files doc. and .docx
Creative Cloud and Office 364 is up-to-date (although this issue happened before the upgrade so it has something to do with the import filter for .docx files into InDesign [this is the first occasion]).
While importing a .docx file, revisions from the word file appeared in the layout text. I noticed as I started to typeset. Scary.
Checked the Word file, upon Select All, references in the text were highlighted in a darker gray. There was no extra text appearing and revisions were all approved and accepted.

CC Library 2019 - Add new item and change it name
When I add item to CC Library 2019, and try change it name - all text (with lag!) is select and I losing my previeus text, becouse I still typing.

resize object works rarely
It's already 2019. I've been reading comments from 2015 about this same issue. I downloaded the most current version of InDesign and unbelievably I still cannot resize an object on my MacbookPro by clicking on the shift button. It works occasionally (for some odd reason). This is totally ridiculous. I read dozens of complaints about this from 2015 and on. Seriously, Adobe? You cannot fix this issue once and for all.

Preferences: Preview image not working
My Italian InDesign release doesn't create a Hi Res preview image.
In the preferences I've flagged the "always save preview image with the document", Pages: "all the pages" and Preview dimensions: "very big 1024x1024", but the software doesn't work: when I try to have a look at the documents with Adobe Bridge I can see a low res preview, while with ID Util (an utility for OSX Quick Look) I can't see any preview of the pages of the document. Indesign CC2019 (oct) - "Do you want to save changes to "-/*TempScratchDocument*/-" on close
Indesign 14.0.1 x64, german, Windows8 as "Admin"
On closing Indesign with its "×" button, a dialog popped up asking:
Do i wanna save changes to "-/TempScratchDocument/-", Yes | No | Cancel.
This is the first time i have this error. I can not recreate it. Prior to the error i did: made some changes to an open documents spellchecking and hyphenisation settings. I also edited a paragraph format in the doc to use Duden instead of Proximity as Spellchecking/Hyphenisation. I let it re-calculate the flow of the document and saved the document. Strange characters appear when pasting any text from anywhere
I have InDesign CC2019 - Whenever I paste from any program (Word, Outlook, Notepad) into InDesign there is an odd boxed character with an X anywhere there was a line ending in the original. There are no soft returns or hard returns or anything in the originals it just word wrapped in a spot - and InDesign inserts a character which I cannot search for or replace.

Jumbled Text
I'm having an issue with catalogs I'm working with. When I open the most recent version of an INDD file, there is jumbled text in the headings and subheadings, even though the PDF exported fine when the file was last opened. Advice?

We use a previous file to keep the formatting of a merged mailing list. I used to be that when you copied the file to a new directory it could no longer find the old data file and gave you a warning. The error message then tells you "You are not currently signed in to the
CC (which I already am). Please go to Help- > Sign In and enter your Adobe ID. Restart InDesign, then try opening the document again."Performing this action does nothing, the error never goes away, you just go in circles.

Please try signing out from InDesign once. Quit and relaunch InDesign. Also you could try signing out from Creative Cloud App and sign back in to see if the issue goes away.Adobe InDesign team

GREP "Any Double Quotation Marks" wildcard not working as expected
Version: CC (14.0.1.209)
While using InDesign's Find/Change GREP feature:
The following GREP query wont find the matching string even if it exists in the document: (Any White Space) followed by (Any Double Quotation Marks) followed by (Any Uppercase Letter)
\s"[A-Z]
This should find any white space followed by any double quotation mark followed by any uppercase letter, however it shows no match.
The following GREP searches will work, but when combined they do not work:
\s" will find the white space and the double quotation mark
"[A-Z] will find the double quotation mark and any uppercase letter

Kontur aussen ausrichten
Kontur aussen ausrichten stimmt nicht. Kontur soll ausserhalb des Bildrahmens sein, ist es aber nicht. ist momentan wie Kontur innen ausrichten, nur dass es den Bildrahmen automatisch vergrössert. ich möchte jedoch den Bildrahmen am Dokumentenrahmen andocken und dass die Kontur dementsprechend ausserhalb des Dokumentes ist.

Problem with Picture Moving / InDesign 2019/14.01
With Indesign 14.01 have problems when I move a picture.
Is there distortion up to 30 sec.

Unable to update to latest InDesign version
I am trying to open an organizational chart file that was last edited 2 months ago on InDesign 13.1, but I get a prompt that the file was created in 14.0 so I need to convert it.
In the Creative Cloud desktop app, there are no available updates for me to install, so I am stuck with converting the file and having to manually re-link the 20 profile pictures in the document. I would rather just update the InDesign version to be able to properly open and edit the file, if that was actually the issue.

cannot save again if file is moved whilst file is open - 2019 Indesign CC
I moved my working folder to another drive as quickly needed space. I accidentally didn't close my file in InDesign before doing this... kept working on the file then went to save it to new location... But it won't let me.
Says file is missing from original location... put it back (which I tried but didn't work) So I had to export as idml to save it... Never encountered this in previous releases please fix.1 vote -

If a Word file has an Index built within it, InDesign can only see it if it is a .doc file. This is a bug with CC2019-CC2014 and earlier. If you import the .docx file there are no index entries in the index panel, but there are if the file is converted to .doc.
The only way you can use a .docx file is to open it in Word and then cut and paste all the Word file text into InDesign. This way InDesign sees the Index, but I would not want to import this way, so I convert to…1 vote
