will not open
indesign will not open documents when I open the program. It shows open but not tabs or home page and will not open any documents. Ive restarted my computer and uninstalled/reinstalled the program and the issue is still happening.

Indesign 2020 keeps asking me to save files
It says it has been altered (asterisk next to name) immediately after I open a file
even I haven't made any changes. After I save it , the asterisk shows up again as soon as I scroll down!I am using InDesign 2020, Mac OS Mojave 10.14.6

ID can't import multiple PDF (with multiple pages) into frames placed in master
InDesign 14.0.2 french
Windows 10 x64 Pro 1903 - 18362.239I need to import 148 PDF with 5 pages into each files.
I prepare 5 frames into the A-master.
CTRL+D from the 1st page to select my files.
For the demo, I use 3 files.Only the second PDF is imported.
All other PDF are visible in Links panel, but with no pages imported.If I do an the same import without frames on the A-master, I am able to place 5 pages per ID page. But it's longer, without the same scale, etc.

shift doesn't work at all

Thank you for your patience all this while; we really appreciate your support!
Our investigation suggests that one of common reasons for the problem is that certain software (mostly antivirus and other security applications) and browser extensions happen to enable “Secure Keyboard Entry” on Mac machines due to which some keys such as Shift key in this case do not perform the desired action in InDesign.
For now I request you to follow the below provided KB doc for the quick workaround of the problem.

Please note that, the problem may not be related to a particular software; there could be a different application or antivirus which might be causing the problem by enabling Secure Keyboard Entry on Mac.

Spinning wheel of death on cursor tool. Running latest version and catalina.

InDesign 15.0 Smart Guides problem on converted files
After the 15.0 update InDesign does not show Smart Guides on files that are saved with the older version of InDesign. New blank documents show Smart Guides as they should but if I open (convert) old file to 15.0 Smart Guides stop working. So when I drag elements they don't snap to each other or center to the page for example.
I'm working on Windows 10.

Smart Grid feature not working properly. Green lines don't appear showing alignment with object's previous location
As the title says, when I move an object, the temporary green smart grid lines do not appear to show whether I am in alignment with the object's previous position. I noticed this when I was trying to replicate the 3rd video titled "Align and group content" in the "Edit Content" tutorial.

InDesign performance issue: Lags when selecting and moving items using wacom tablet
On a iMac with 32 GB RAM running under macOS 10.14.4 (18E226) InDesign v.14.0.2.324 with Wacom Intuos Pro tablet (6.3.24-1) in some documents cursor / items handling is unresponsive, lagging or too sensitive (click is registered when there was no click, dragging happens yet it wasn't been ignited).

InD responding slowly
This isn't a "bug" per se, but InD has slowed to a crawl when using. Doesn't matter if I am trying to select text, change tools, or click on a menu item. It's been going very slow for a while now, doesn't matter the file. I have tried to trash preferences and reinstall InD, and nothing has changed it. Oh, and I just have major lag, not a spinning ball.
I am Win10, InD CC 14.0.2. The only plug-in I am running is Suitcase Fusion, and that is up to date as well.

Indd file size optimization
The filesize of the .indd file increases with every new linked image and is not reset after deleting old images from the workspace.
If you use the save as function and overwrite the file, the size of the .indd file is much smaller (like 190 MB before and 12 MB after).InDesign should clean up the file with every normal saving process !

New document dialog is extremly slow
If I want to create a new document the dialog news at least 10 sec to open. After that I can set my defaults but when I click the »create«-button it takes another 10 to 20 sec until the new document is created. The fans are blowing like ****.

Only loading icon
Today (10.10.2019) I tried continuing my work in Adobe InDesign (newest CC version), and it refuses to work at all. Upon opening application there is only loading icon. Restarting system, and reinstalling application wouldnt work

InDesign documents are almost unavailable (almost every process).
Problem: Text Frame Options> Balance Colums> Check

Can't scroll Pages Window when Export dialogue box is up
Can't scroll Pages Window when Export dialogue box is up
When exporting certain pages from a large document it was handy being able to scroll through the pages window while the export dialogue was open. This was possible on pre CC indesign copies.

Resized vectors not displaying properly in high quality display mode on drag
14.0.2 x64 on Windows 10
Steps:
1. High Quality display mode (default settings)
2. Place any EPS vector file.
3. Attempt to resize it while holding ctrl-shift to maintain ratios.Expected result:

Grey box. I have to zoom in or out to get the screen to "refresh" and show the correct image.Similar issue happens with placed AI file. Very simple, clearly. Just a triangle. Made in the latest version of Illustrator.
The Youtube button is an EPS.

Performance: Import documents / style apply
my MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2016) is super slow when importing word documents, search and replace styles or adapting styles. Does it improve when changing to the Mojave system? Or is there a conflict with FontExplorer X Pro. Any suggestions are welcome. I'm suffering…

I have Adobe InDesign 14.0.2 x64, and my book chapters keep showing a spinning wheel when i try to make any change. Say I need to add one letter, after doing so the ball has to spin 10 times until i can do anything else. This is extremely time consuming and is wasting my time when I have to wait 2 minutes after any tiny change before I can make another. I have seen others posting issues about this over a year ago. All fixes people have suggested do nothing for me. Please help.

CPU over 100% - inDesign not usable
Within in hour of using inDesign the CPU goes up to 1000% of CPU usage without any reasons. No matter if I'm working on a blanc space or big files, it react over time.
Quick solution is to restart the application, within 1 hour of using the CPU goes up again.
I reinstalled the application and work on a new account.
Specs:
iMac (Retina 5K, 27 Zoll, End 2015)
4 GHz Intel Core i7
32 GB 1867 MHz DDR3
AMD Radeon R9 M395X 4096 MB1 vote
