Issues with document previewing since installing InDesign update (16.2.1)
Hi, I'm operating a late 2013 27-inch iMac with 3.2 GHz Intel Core i5 processor. Currently running MacOS Mojave 10.14.6
Since installing the latest InDesign update (16.2.1) I've experienced various document preview issues:
- images that are contained within circular or other non straight-edged image boxes are not displaying at all.
- I get either a black box displaying or no box/frame at all. The frame is there because when I hit Select All I can see it but the image simply won't display at all, whatever the Appearance setting is on.

W key doesn't work in 16.1 or 16.2.1 on Windows 10
Title says it all. I deleted preferences and restarted the computer, and W just doesn't work to switch the screen mode. I installed 16.0 and W works fine there.

Keyboard Intermittently disabled after opening file
In InDesign 16.2.1, often when I open files it's like the keyboard shortcuts are disabled. I hit Ctrl+A to select all, or I select something and hit the delete key and nothing happens. I have to close the file, but not InDesign, and then re-open it to make things work correctly.

toolbar missing
The toolbar is unable to be reached. I cannot drag the application window into complete view. I can see that it is there (2nd pic), but I am unable to move the whole window.

InDesign 2021 v16.2.1: Glitchy preview on opening
InDesign 2021 v16.2.1: I have been experiencing viewing issues with the latest update. Whenever I open a file the preview is either blank (grey) or doesn't show correctly/looks glitchy. This happens on all documents that were previously fine. The preview glitch appears periodically when I'm working on the document as well as first open so I have to either close the document and reopen or, strangely, turn on/off the rulers? I haven't seen this before – any help appreciated! I have attached an initial open and after I turn on rulers screenshots to demonstrate. Please can you help?

Rendering bug on second monitor
Just updated to Illustrator 16.2.1 and discovered a bug I didn't have last week. This is reproducible even over a restart. What I'm doing: opening two documents and moving one to a second monitor to compare the layouts. MacBook Pro 2.4GHz Core i9 Radeon Pro 560X 4GB, Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536MB. When I move a window to the second monitor (the Intel card), the display first is very large (one page, as opposed to spread view). Then as soon as I scroll, the content rendering gets corrupted. It might be totally upside down; or it might smear during scroll.…

freezing in Indesign version 16.2.1
Hi all
I was working on a very important file yesterday morning using Indesign version 16.2.1 on PC window 10 and was linking images to the file when my indesign just froze. I've been having issues since where it takes for ever if at all to open any indesign file. At one stage it didn't recover my file so a message came up to ask if I wanted to recovery it....what ever option I chose I was left with Indesign unable to still function properly. (I had also renamed files incase the file was corrupt) Also noticed when force quiting…

When opening up files I get an error " Missing required parameter 'from' for method 'open'.
This started happening after I upgraded indesign. 2021
I reinstalled the program issue still present.I uninstalled all other version of indesign and re installed after this still happens. In order to work I have to restart the machine or copy the file to my desktop.1 vote -
ID will crash on awake (MacOS)
Adobe InDesign, for the last two, three versions (current 16.2.1), will crash 100% of the time when the Mac comes back from sleep mode. I'm running MacOS 10.15.7 on two separate Macs (iMac 2020 and an over Mac Book Pro), both with plenty or RAM, and this will happen 100% of the time on both systems. I've reported this several times but when you issue a new update to "fix bugs" this one persists.

Opening new document and no access to most menu items
v. 16.1
- open existing document
- most menu options greyed out, not available even by shortcuts
- i should be able to open a document and print or copy something or paste into... no functions are available!
- at some point, the functions come back, but i'm not sure when or how.

The number on the Image Place Thumbnail is not correct
It should reflect the number of images 'in' the cursor. But its 1 too high.
When 2 images are loaded, it shows 3.

Indesign/LTS version (15.1.3) don't update font menu accordingly system registry (HKLM\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Fonts)

My enviroment: InDesign LTS version 15.1.3 (mandatory) - InCopy LTS version 15.1.3 (mandatory) - Extensis UTC 7.0.10 (mandatory) - clients OS Windows 10/MacOS Mojave- Font family OTF/TTF.Fonts get activated, then again so that theindesign/incopy document refreshes and detects the fonts but unfortunately this could result in significantly longer loading times for large files and other unexpected performance issues.
The fonts are active for the whole system (reg query "hklm\software\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion\fonts)
and app., Bloc Notes for example.I have opened tickets with Extensis. Here is the answer after testing in their environment

Indesign freezes and/or crashes when opening hyperlinks panel. It does usually eventually unfreeze but this can take up to 20+ minutes. I'm running Indesign 2021 Creative Cloud on a Mac, release 16.1.
- Open a document with existing links
- Click on the hyperlinks panel
- Freezes
- Either I force quit or it unfreezes, depending on how long it's been frozen.
