When I create a new document and go to save, I do not get a save window. I have to close out the app and go back in for it to work. Sometimes I have to close out and go back in multiple times.

Footnote rule styling lost when split
I have set up formatting for the Rule On line above my footnotes, but when the notes auto-split across pages, the line that is automatically created for the following page has a totally different, default, non-editable format. How do I make auto-appearing lines consistent with the line format I have set in Footnote Options?

Alt-PgDn inserts glyph after moving to next spread
InDesign 16.0 x64
Normally (and on the MAC), the user can press Alt/Opt+PgDn to center the next spread on the screen.
This is now broken on Windows. At least on the 2 PC's I use, both of which are up to date on Windows and Creative Cloud.
What happens now is that when the Alt key is released, a glyph is inserted into the text. And this causes the display to jump back so the insertion point is visible on screen.
Of course, if I'm not currently editing inside a text frame, the glyph doesn't appear, because there's no place for it…

Remove blank lines not working in 2021
Since upgrading to 2021, the "Remove blank lines" in the data merge section is no longer working. Please help

This is so strange.. When I want to open a file in the window there is no date anymore. So how to see which file is the latest one you worked on? I resetted preferences, but still it only shows: name-size-kind-date added... And i can not find a way to get a view options panel for this. any help?

InDesign: Nach Update auf 2021 ist komplettes Dokument zerschossen
Hallo,
nach dem wir von 2020 (15.1.2) auf 2021 (16.x.x) upgedatet hatten, hat es unsere kompletten Magazinseiten zerschossen. Headlines // Fließtexte etc wurden komplett durcheinander gerührt und nicht mehr an der richtigen Stelle stehend angezeigt.Unsere kompletten Stilvorlagen (Absatz- und Zeichenformate) wurden total zerschossen.
InDesign erschwert uns von Update zu Update unsere tägliche professionelle Arbeit.
Wir sind nun erstmal wieder auf die alte Version gegangen, das hat zum Glück funktioniert – aber der Frust in der täglichen Arbeit bleibt!
Wir können nicht ständig unseren kompletten Workflow umstellen! Das geht einfach nicht.

2021 cannot create new document
I just updated from 2020 to 2021 version.
Now, when trying to create a new document, the dialogue works as expected but when clicking "erstellen" (create) nothing happens.
Even after restarting the whole system (Mac Catalina).47 votesFix is available in the latest update of InDesign.
Please update your copy of InDesign to the latest available update via CCD app.

InDesign 2021 is not displaying my documents correctly
I just opened my CV created in InDesign 2020 and after the update to 2021 font styles have changed and text is partially not displayed at all. This leads to the document's layout being off and not usable.

some lines in textbook can no longer be read, whole line blacked out in Indesign 15.1.2
After updating to InDesign 15.1.2
some lines in some text boxes are blacked out, text cannot be read anymore
I used Arial. A few other fonts show the text, but do not remove black line of unused text.
I can make text white, it will then show up on black background.

column guides
Column guides don't keep the gutters consistent. When changing the guides from 2 to 3 columns with a gutter at 4mm the gutter changes to 4.33mm, WHY???

Y coordinates incorrect when pasting objects on pages with different heights
I have several pages with different heights. If I paste an object using "paste in place" from page to page, they do not paste in the correct Y location from the original. However, the X location is correct.

discrepancy with the unit of measurement v15.1.2 on macOS Mojave v10.14.6
There is a discrepancy with the unit of measurement. Even tho it is set up to inches, the "new document" dialog box keeps the bleed, margins, and gutter in millimeters.

Page number underline
Page numbering with underline aligned left and centre has a horizontal offset underline. Only aligned right seems to be working correctly.

View pages horizontally turns into vertical view, after a few moments of continuing to work, no quit, no restart, in the same session

Master pages populate page panel in wrong order
When dragging more than one master page to the pages panel, the masters populate in descending order instead of ascending order (for example, Masters A, B, C populate in pages panel as C, B, A.)
I'm able to consistently replicate this error on two different computers running different versions (INDD 15.0.3 and 15.1.1)

Hidden characters not showing
Indesign 15.1.2 OSX Catalina 10.15.4 MBP 2020 16"
Hidden characters not showing, either from keyboard shortcut or from drop down menu, having tried various options, resolve seems to be shut down Indesign and restart Mac... not a quick fix!

Page numbering is broken
Since the latest update (InDesign 15.1.2) you can no longer change the page numbering to roman numerals or a, b, c etc. When you make a new section and change the style of numbering system - nothing changes. You can also not make a page have a new number - for example change page 10 to page 20, it will remain as page 10. These are very important features of InDesign and need to be fixed as soon as possible.

drag to layer
drag to layer is not working right... when i have 5 layers (for example) and i want drag an object from layer 2 to 5 it seems tot work but after select the moved object its now in layer 3?
