Stuff missing when writing pdf
When I try to write a PDF using 2021, I often get a failure, or the PDF writes, but a load of detail is missing from it. The only workaround seems to be to write the PDF from the desktop.

Endnotes with links incorrect when exporting to an accessible PDF file.
When exporting an InDesign file to an accessible PDF file (tagged PDF), if any endnotes contain hyperlinks, the tagging structure is messed up. Starting with the first hyperlink (not the links for the endnote references), all of the endnotes from that point on are in the link tag for that first hyperlink. I encountered a very similar bug a few years ago when exporting to the EPUB format with documents that contained endnotes that finally got resolved a year or so after the bug was reported.

Missing images on exporting to PDF a document with images in the header cell
Indesign 16.1
InDesign shows the document correctly. The images in the header are there (in the first and subsequent pages)
But the exported PDF lacks the images in the repeated header (see sample file)1 vote -
Textbox not showing after exporting
After exporting my work in pdf form I observed that many of the text boxes in the document did not appear. I tried saving the work in IDML form and resaving but that did not work too. Please can someone help me?

Cannot Export in PDF format
Adobe InDesign version: 16.0.1 x64
Platform: Windows 10, Version 20H2 (build SO 19042.685)
Problem:
Suddenly, from a couple of days, I cannot export in PDF format anymore.
When trying to export a file, I receive the message "Failed to Export PDF" (or something similar, I use the Italian version) – see image 1.It doesn’t matter the settings in the export window, I tried almost all the combinations, but the PDF generation fails.
I can export in.jpeg, for example, but it is not useful for me.Infos:

Automatic Hyphenation
When exporting an InDesign file as pdf, a "B" is added to a hyphenated word (see screenshot: left is the ID file, right the pdf). This does not happen systematically, but so far twice in roughly 500 pages, both times in footnotes though.

Mouse does not move/work on pc not possible when rendering a PDF
It would be great if I could keep working on the PC and InDesign keeps rendering the PDF. But this is not possible because the mouse can not moved as soon as inDesign saves a book as PDF.
I sit in front of the PC for almost 5 minutes and can't do anything else on the PC.

PDF export > Can't select destination color profile anymore
In the PDF export in the section "Output" and in the area "color" I can't select my color profile anymore. In the drop down field is just document-CMYK and document-RGB listed. I reinstalled InDesign but nothing happend …And in the dropdown "Color Conversion" the entry "Convert to destination (Preserve Numbers)" is missing!!! Please help!! I can't export my PDF to my printer!

Since I am using Mac PC with M1 chip I can not get any PDF done even my InDD version is 16.1
Does anyone has any idea WHY?

PDF exports spreads when set to single pages
In ID2021, when I export this document as single pages in interactive mode, it exports as spreads. When I save as IDML and open in 2020, it works.

Überschreiben von PDF-Dateien öffnet anstatt neue die alte Datei aus dem Cache
Das ist sehr sehr böse und passiert nur wenn man zwischendurch Akrobat nicht schliesst. Gott-sei-dank fiel mir das auf, denn ich wollte daraus eine PDFx3 schreiben und hätte dann die falsche Datei mit Fehlern, die eigentlich korrigiert waren, rausgeschickt.

Błąd eksportu do PDFa
Chcę zgłosić błąd w oknie eksportu do PDFa.
Wpisując przypadkowo zakres stron 110-101 InDesign wiesza się.
Taki błąd nie jest rzadkością, więc to okno powinno być na nie odporne :-)1 vote -
Accessibility Alternate Text Issues in Acrobat
The file is designed where certain graphic elements are grouped together to make editing easier for others. In this case, horizontal dividers are made from two basic rectangles and a text box, grouped together.
Each rectangle shape is tagged as "horizontal divider" in the export options for accessibility. When I export to PDF and run the full accessibility check, I'm told that the group failed the "figures alternate text" test.
I then apply alternate text to the group in the export options. I run the full accessibility check in Acrobat and I am told that everything inside the group failed…

Mp3 Audio File Not Play in Pdf.
When Create Interactive Pdf Audio file mp3 not play. When Check Adobe InDesign Preview in work but convert pdf audio not play, i check also in adobe acrobat 9 pro.

- I have the latest and greatest just installed 2021 version of inDesign 16.0.1 x64 on Windows 10, i7 3.2Ghz with 16GB RAM
- I have tried exporting to idml and saving again as I have seen suggested elswhere
- I have tried restarting my computer, and inDesign many, many times.
- everytime I try to export the file it gets most of the way through, then hangs on the same percentage everytime.
- Background tasks shows an error / warning, but gives no clues as to what it is.
- no matter how long I leave it (hours) it will not advance past the stuck…

Placed PDFs that contain hyperlinks when exported to PDF, links are removed

Step 3: Open exported PDF and put mouse over hyperlink that was present in document from Step 1.Expected Result: would expect the hyperlink to remain clickable when exported from originating PDF
Actual Result: hyperlink was removed on export and is no longer clickable :( See attached document…

PDF EXPORT FEHLER
Beim PDF Export von Indesign Seiten kam es bei vereinzelten Seiten ohne Fehlermeldung dazu das einige z.B. Überschriften und Textelemente einfach nicht mit exportiert wurden. Schriften sind in Ordnung - keine Fehler auch im Preflight!!!!

Adobe PDF presets / exports not working in InDesign CC 2021 (v16.0)

Adobe PDF Presets initially worked in CC 2021 when first updated. (I don't know what version that was.) And they worked as recently as last week for me. Today however, none of the presets work, whether the original ones or custom presets I created. I went back to v15.1.3 and all the same presets work correctly.
