1. UI scaling window problems

   There are numerous problems with the new UI Scaling Feature when it is set to any size other than the smallest. I've attached several screenshots and a screen recording.

   Screenshot 1: New document window. Toolbars slightly overlap the buttons and the ruler.
   Screenshot 2: On the right edge of the main window, there is a gap between it and the panels.
   Screenshot 3: Bottom of the main window has a white bar along the bottom.
   Screen recording: Panels that all collapsed down to an Icon or Icon/Name only don't pop up in the right position when you click on them.

   In all of these examples, the bigger the UI setting you pick, the bigger the problem becomes... bigger overlap, bigger gap, bigger white bar, etc etc.

   The other major problem is that the UI scaling is also scaling the view of the contents in the main window. For example, a Letter-sized document at 100% fits completely in the main window on the lowest UI setting, but at any larger UI setting, the same document no longer fits in the window unless I zoom to fit.

2. New Animate palette bug

   In InDesign 17.1.0.50 OSX, the Animate palette is smaller than its tools !
   In my screen capture, you can see 3 right points (transformation center points) that are so on the left that I cannot click on them.
   Even if I enlarge the palette, the 3 right points are still unusable, and it is the same when I I save the workspace and restart InDesign

4. uneven / unlevel pages side by side in spread

   2 uneven pages left right 16, 17 in a document of 64 pages in spread of same double master page spread.

   only 2 in whole doc.

   mac os x mojave 10.14.6 indesign cc 16.01 (adobe rep told me this is the only version that works w/mojave and my late 2015 imac 5k)
   i finally resolved by adding 2 new blank pages ahead of those 2, (applied master), copy pasting the content to those 2 new pages (singe spread), then deleting the original wonky pages.

   I didn't want to take a chance the spread was transmitted wrong to the printer even thought it was probably only a visual glitch/bug.

5. Info Panel - Stroke and Fill info drawn in wrong place - covers up PPI/words info

7. Acrolinx panel too narrow and can't be resized

   Since I upgraded to InDesign 17, the Acrolinx sidebar is displayed at half the width it is supposed to be and can not be resized (see screenshot). It is completely useless this way.
   With InDesign 16, everything is fine.
   Running Windows 10 Enterprise. DELL notebook, DELL P2419H second monitor. All display settings on "recommended". Screenshot is from the notebook's internal monitor.

8. pages breaking and vertical lines on screen

   When i am working in any document since updating to Indesign 17 including the recent 17.0.1 the pages start to get vertical lines and horizontal lines, and the design elements start overlapping or having duplicates, tables will not display as aligned, trying to select text and my curser is really clicking 2 lines above. If i click "W" to toggle between Presentation view and back sometimes that will fix some of it and other times it will make it worse. I have attached a few screen shots to show how it will display different pages. When i go to export this it is fine in PDF format, but it is making it very challenging to work with, and with some huge 150+ page books we are working on, the file is saved in this version now and we are afraid to revert back to the 16.X version of indesign for fear of creating issues with out client document. I have uninstalled indesign completly including all settings and preferences and reinstalled but that has not helped with the issue.

9. inputfield filename

   In previous versions of indesign (using 17.0.1 now) when saving a new file, the inputfield of the filename was already selected. But now it isn't anymore. I'm using OS Monterey (Mac) and this problems occurs on two different systems (home computer and work computer). How to fix this?

10. 100% scaling is anything but

    I have a MacBook Pro 16" (Intel) with an external Samsung 5k monitor.

    Starting recently, when I select View –> Actual size I get a tiny document not by any means represented @ 100%. See screenshot.

    Formerly, the command has rendered an almost 1:1 representation, which is what could be expected (not least since the command is called "actual size" and that the resulting window header says "100%").

11. when GPU ENABLED cursor is delayed after click. takes second for cursor to appear making work choppy. cursor too thin small. need biggerplz

    if this could be fixed please.
    when you click the cursor should appear immediately so you can see where you are. also the cursor options need to be a big cursor so you can easily see where you are

12. Workspace disappears when reverting back from Presentation Mode

13. Highlight filename in save window

    Just upgraded to the M1 Mac version 17.0.1, and the file name is not highlighted by the default.

    Please fix. AND ONLY THE FILE NAME. NOT THE EXTENSION.

14. InDesign not displaying actual (print) size

    InDesign 2021 does not actually show you the printed size of the document.

    There are two potential (and faulty) options to achieve this currently:

    1. Set the zoom level to 100%: On various forums I've read that this should let you view the document at actual print size. A document that physically takes up 10x10cm on your screen, should print at 10x10cm.

    In effect, that doesn't happen and the 100% renders my document at a way larger size than what it's actual size. (I'm literally holding up a ruler against my screen, and a 10cm wide page is about 20cm wide on the screen).

    1. Go to view>view actual size: This one comes closer - the document (and thus objects in it) are rendered about 1.3 smaller than the real-actual dimensions they'll be printed at (as opposed to 2 times bigger in the previous method).

    Again, this doesn't actually work and I'm wondering what it's intended to do.

    My suggested solution:

    I'm using a 4k, 15.6" Dell monitor, and photoshop did this also. It even has a "printed size" in addition to "actual size", which also didn't render things in their correct size.

    I understood that photoshop assumes all screens are at 72dpi, and that causes the incorrect rendering. After "telling" photoshop my actual monitor dpi, which is 283 - it began rendering things correctly when choosing "view print size".

    I when to edit>preferences>units&increments, and tried setting the "points/inch" setting. It was at 72 at default, and I thought that setting it to 283 would solve the problem.

    When I tried doing so, a popup came up and said "the value must be between 60 and 80". So this obviously doesn't work. I'm wondering why this would be the case, as screens today have dpi's of way over 72 and 80.
    Maybe allowing entering higher dpi's will solve this problem?

    Anyway, if anyone knows a solution/idea on how to display print size, I'd love to hear it.

15. Adding file extension after first letter of file name when saving a new document

    When I save a new document, the default file name is "Untitled-1.indd" (or .psd or .ai). If I want to call the file "ProjectA.indd" when I start typing and press "P" all creative cloud apps add the file extension after the first letter then continue with what I am typing. So what should be "ProjectA" turns into "P.inddrojectA." If I only type "Pr" I get "P.inddr." If I start to delete and remove the r and the second d, it will add the file extension again so I end up with "P.ind.indd." If I delete back to the "P" and start typing again it will work and I can type "ProjectA" without InDesign adding .indd in the middle. Also, if after I get "P.inddr" if I highlight the entire filename and delete, I can type "ProjectA" without InDesign adding .indd in the middle. The same thing happens in Illustrator and Photoshop. Is there a fix for this? I am on a Mac running Monterey 12.0.1.

17. ID 2021: New documents open in the background of home screen

    Windows 10, ID 2021 (16.4)
    Bug 1: new documents open in the background of the home screen. See video.
    Bug 2: if the home screen isn't shown and you create a new file, the home screen will appear and lay over the new document.
    Bug 3: if you change anything on the page, the home screen appears
    Bug 4: if you create multiple new documents and close them, it will sometimes ask to save them and sometimes it won't.

18. Font names display inconsistently

    This is a strange one: we use this font https://fonts.adobe.com/fonts/lus (you have to put a 't' on the end of that url, Uservoice thinks it's rude, apparently) it's Regular and Display weights. On two computers this shows up as (syntax here is [Font Family] / [Font Style]) Lus(t) / Regular and Lus(t) Display / Regular, respectively. On three others they show up as Lus(t) / Regular and Lus(t) / Display and there seems to be no way to align them.

    I've attached a screenshot of how the taskbar shows font on the machines that separate them out.

    The first two computers are a Windows 10 desktop and a Mac OS Big Sur Intel laptop; the other three are two Mac OS Catalina iMacs and a Mac OS Big Sur Intel laptop. All running InDesign 2022.

    On layouts where the fonts are separated out into different families; the ones which don't separate them out have the fonts in square braces; throw up the Find/Replace fonts dialogue (and fail to find them), and highlight offending instances in pink. But, crucially, they actually display the font correctly on the layout - and will happily export to PDF correctly, without substituting a default font.

19. Menu not appearing when clicking toolbar hamburger button

    I got the problem that the menu that should appear when you click on an "hamburger" button in the top right corner of a toolbar doesn't appear.
    This happens on a second screen when you got more than one screen/monitor, and the main screen has higher resolution than the second one. It also only happens to toolbars that are positioned near the bottom edge of the second screen and where the menu height is larger than the distance between the "hamburger" button and the bottom edge of the screen.
