Selectable Document Font Folder
I've been waiting for a long time for the Document-font folder to be out of sync with the Indesign document. One should be able to determine the place itself.
If I have many Indesign Docs (in campaigns sometimes several hundred) I have to either install the fonts or just in any folder where an Indesign Doc is located in a document font folder.2 votes -
In design is running dog slow. On my mac score 6 64 mgs ram. Also seems like everytime i use photoshop have to restart to use again
Just make it run normal way to slow all of a sudden. Tempted to go to pages?

Type scaling
I'd like to see a type scaling feature added to paragraph styles. When the project allows it I prefer to set up a "body" style and then base most of my copy styles on this one. Currently I make different header styles proportionally larger but if I ever need to change my body copy size I have to go back and change all the other head styles to match. It would be nice to set body to 10pt for instance, then set head 1 to 150% and head 2 to 125%. This would make head 1 15pt in reality and…

Push Out Compensation for Perfect Binding on PDF Export
Being able to take a facing page document and adding an amount of cross over bleed from the spine and scaling that amount from the spine to the outer trim would be invaluable to my workflow for large perfect binding books. As it is now stands, I have to separate each spread to single pages and create bleeds towards the spine and move/scale each page to allow for artwork alignment in the final printing and binding.

Could you add "Action Menu" for indesign.....?
If we are add "Action menu" in indesign it reduce the work what are all we doing repeated.....
Eg: We are use so many times to measure the distance of caption and image that time we use action it will reduce the time....

I want to be able to search for an empty cell in a table, and able to add the cell icon (square) in a search..
I want to be able search for the cell icon in a table or an empty cell.
Sometimes I have to search for empty cells in tables and replace them with an en dash to show that they are intentionally empty.
When you have over 70 tables in each book it would be really helpful to be able to search for an empty cell.
And sometimes I need to search for characters that appear all over the document but I only want to find the ones in a cell, so being able to specify that icon in a search would…

Share the templates (INDT) into the library
Dear all we already use a lot the library as we are a team of 6 designers working on the same bases. We already use swatches and images which is very convenient. It would be good to have the templates (rollup, A4 , webbanner ...) in the library as template the way we can just drag and drop them

Automatic page addition or subtraction when links are updated
Dear Team,
My organization uses InDesign to compile our tender documents which vary from about 200 pages to 3000 pages in pdf format. These documents tend to change in terms of the number of pages with each tender. It would save a lot of time if InDesign would check for the new page numbers and add or remove the pages accordingly when updating links. Currently if I update my pdf file to have a few more pages, InDesign does not recognize the extra pages and therefore excludes them all together. I have to manually add the pages which is time…

Dictionary presetting synchronization for all open documents
Hey support,
is there a possibility to add a checkbox in InDesign under „Presettings“ to the point Dictionary (especially spelling) which allows the program to use the chosen spell-setting for all documents in a universal way?
Actually I have to check and set this spell-setting for each single document.My proposition:
Under "Preferences" you could put a hook under "Dictionary", which takes over the dictionary for all documents without having to reset it again and again. When you open a new document, it takes over default spelling.Thank you.

Swatch Grouping
The Color Group function is really useful, but it only works in the creation phase if you select multiple colours. There's no obvious way to add a colour to a group after it's been created - there's no contextual menu option, there's no palette menu option, and seemingly, you can't drag and drop it into the folder, which is counterintuitive as this is something users do all the time with Layers. Non printing layer attention value
Since the latest update of Adobe CC I noticed that across the suite, when you double click a layer and set it to non-printing, the label is no longer displayed in italic. Thus remaining in the dark on first glance at layer palette if a layer is set to non printing. I use non-printing feature a lot but now I don't have a visual reference anymore. Don't understand why this feature was removed?

Book files | make list of all files seachable and make groups for better overview
When having a Bookfile with a lot of files in it. It is nearly not possible to find the right files. It would be nice if it would be possible to make any groups and make it searchable to find them easier.

Add an option to show Master Page data in the links palette
Add options for showing Master Page info to the long list of item in the Links Palette options. Should definitely include "Master Page Prefix" and "Master Page Name", might as well include "Based On" and "Number of pages" while you're at it.

Feature Request (or bug report) in InDesign directly
When working, I get many ideas who to improve InDesign or what's missing or getting wrong in InDesign. And then I'd like to have a fast feature request form directly out of InDesign. But instead of this I getting forwarded to this forum and that's really to much time to search and the do a new topic.

Option for fly-out menus to open to the right.
Would it be possible to have an option for the fly-out menus to open to the right to keep the live page area fully visible? It's hard working on spreads in book interiors because any window open covers part of the text. If I have room to shift the spread over, InDesign automatically re-centers the spread when I turn to the next page. (Sample window was chosen in PNG because it's generic.)
