Where is the search tool (like a magnifying glass in the Apple OS) to search within the menus (Version 16.1)

Set asset path base location in preferences
Allow the user to set the base relative path location in preferences instead of having them set to absolute all the time. This will allow complete folder structures within Create Cloud Folders to be shared to other user without all the assets link breaking all the time and will avoid the need to send packaged files all the time.

Please fix the tab export issue in EPUB format! We're paying for a program that promises print AND flowable epubs but getting only half.
I'm incredibly unhappy about paying so much money out of pocket for a program that does only half of what it promises. It promises print and ebook exports. Print works fine. Epub does not export tabs, indents, or line spacing. I've had your techs work on the program with a program file of mine after I showed them my work flow, and they took two weeks and couldn't do it. Can we get text to go along with the video tutorials?
Videos can be useful, but we can read text MUCH faster than listening to a video. And we can easily refer to text where we can't in a video.
Please just supply the same learning in text form as well.

Caption setting: Why paragraph style, not object style?
Its "displacement" is not very easy to use, I generally still need object style to control the caption.
If you can use object styles directly, it's easy? Because object styles can call paragraph styles, there are more settings.
I hope Adobe will pay attention to this problem.

Allow login from multiple adobe accounts on the same machine at the same time.
My job pays for InDesign and I pay for Photoshop/Lightroom. The fact that I cannot just have both logins running at the same time is insane. I have started paying for InDesign personally because it was just easier.

PLEASE TURN OFF the 'Type 3 fonts no longer supported after 2023" message, it is very annoying for the many legacy documents I must work on. YES I know! That is two years away and there seems to be no way to make the blue bar go away.

table of content popup
the table of content popup UI needs updating. When working on long docs with many paragraph styles, and many levels of TOC. There's a lot of scrolling involved.
Let us resize the window so we can see more paragraph styles / TOC levels at once.
Or even just copy word's interface, although not great, but it a lot more useable.

Export PDF from InDesign with comments pre marked up
Load in comments in InDesign and export to PDF.
Currently, you need to export to PDF > Open in Acrobat find the section to add the comment.Would be killer and save time - Cheers :)

Add page range option to find/change
find/change dialogue box > SEARCH field drop down menu
Add ability to select a page range.
This would be particularly useful when it comes to replacing swatches. Let's say you have a section of a book that is GREEN and another section that is BLUE. If you had a range option you could easily use find/change to swap the two colors but as of right now, this is not the case. You have to use a temporary GREY as a placeholder, find/change the BLUE to GREY, then the GREEN to BLUE, and finally the GREY to GREEN. It feels like…

Hide Selection handles en text marquee
When designing, the inverted selected text is disturbing. Please add a shortcut to switch it off temporarily (like in Ae and Ai).

Rule Above and Below visible both in panel
It is confusing that when Rule Below is active, still the inactive Rule Above is show in the Paragraph Style tab.
Why not show both at once?

Share for Review feature notifications settings should be accessible in InDesign, not only Adobe Cloud
The share review feature could use a lot of work. First off, the notification settings should be in InDesign, not Adobe cloud. People don't know to go to Adobe Cloud to adjust notifications, nor did you tell anyone. Also, review comments in InDesign are still a bit glitchy, sometimes the pin or highlighted content does not appear within the editor when viewing review comments. Thanks you!

Text Frame Row Rule Options
It would be brilliant to have this feature added in the Text Frame Options in order to be able to add a number of rows (and its attributes) along with the number of colums.

Create button to open PDF file in a separate tab, from InDesign
If I create an interactive PDF with a button to open another PDF, it overrides the currently open PDF with no route back to the original PDF. In InDesign, it would be useful to be able to tell the button to open the file separately rather than overriding the original. This is obviously only an issue if it's a PDF as other file types will naturally open in their native program, ie: .doc for Word.
The current work-around for this is to create a link field directly in Acrobat to open the file, as this allows for opening PDF's in…
