How can we improve InDesign?

Adjust Layout - Off by default please.

Finding the new Adjust Layout in InDesign 2019 a bit of a liability as is turned ON by default.

Can you please add a setting to turn off globally and turn on only when needed? Currently doesn't seem possible.

Thanks

The fix for this issue is now available in the latest update (14.0.2) of InDesign 2019.

If you are unable to see the update notification, open the menu (three dots) from the top-right of Creative Cloud desktop application and click on ‘Check For App Updates’.
Once the update button is shown against InDesign, click on the button to update to Id 14.0.2.

If you face any problems with the new update, do let us know in the comments.

Stupid to have "on" as default option, somebody somewhere will lose their job because of this.

Turn it off by default in all places that you have infected inDesign with it. Thanks.

This is a prepress error waiting to happen. Please release update soon. Thanks!

    Please uncheck as the default.

Causes issues with multiple users working in our busy studio. Cheers

Adjust Layout being turned on Default has becoming an increasing headache for me as a desigenr. Also within this - Adjust locked objects seems counter intuitive to that function. Locked objects should stay locked, yes?

Please make the default OFF as soon as possible. I'm forced to do work twice when this automatic function happens and should I miss it occuring, I might have to redo entire print runs and lose money and possibly customers.

    PLEASE FIX ASAP!

What a stupid, useless and dangerous feature. What were they thinking? Please remove it from InDesign.

I'm glad you are fixing! Hopefully you mean the next update not release?! LOL

Agree. Useful in some cases, but with many documents it's pain rather than a help.
Please turn it off by default, or at least let the user specify the default state.

PLEASE do not make this the default. I don't want to have to turn it off EVERY SINGLE FILE. You do not know what I need in my layout--I DO. TURN IT OFF. REAL designers do not want or need this feature--why should this app make arbitrary decisions about my layout? ***** this--when will you start listening to users?

Please turn this feature off ASAP! It's resizing things that I have set to very specific sizes - symbols have to conform to set standards for printing and some of these are coming out too small now because it is auto adjusting layout!! My margins and bleeds kept appearing off and I finally realised it's because it defaults to On!! such a ridiculous feature. Why it's auto-set to ON is beyond me!

Ravi - this needs a more urgent review. It needs a patch to offer the ability to permanently disable it.
It's a massive problem for print workflows.
Please urgently attend to it and have a patch released.
