Bug: XML w/Images Export (filename)
Just discovered during XML w/images export that ID is converting images w/spaces in filenames to underscores (causing mismatches, XML itself is correct) — is this a bug? Using ID 13.0.1
Btw - I know this is a feature request post, but I can't find an easy way to submit bugs!

Load query option
Add a load (GREP or Text) query option with save and delete in the Find/Change window to load query from anywhere in computer.

make data merge possible from Google Sheet without being forced to make csv
I use DataMerge a lot and its really boring to be forced to export an update to csv when working in collaboration.
If we could use directly the source file Google Sheet we could improve our workflow (Easy Catalog does it !)159 votes -
Have user Templates available on the splash screen/new document page
Creating templates greatly enhances document workflow creation. 2 things would make that even better:
Make the templates available on the splash screen/new document dialog - possibly under the saved tab.
Create a workflow that would allow for documents created from a template to update if the template is changed.18 votes -
Exporting seperat images as cropped in page design
I layout a newspaper. We have several images on each page. Each image is cropped or framed so it fit on the page.
There is no way to mark 3-4 images on each page and export them as they are cropped/framed - not as the original image is. It's really annoying, because when I want to put the images on the website, the images needs to be cropped the same way as in the articles.
I would really like this option.
Now I have to open each photo in photoshop, crop it, and save it. It' s very time consuming.

Use Keyboard arrows to go through links list
When I want to check the links in the links menu and I have klicked on one of them, I thought it could be time saving if I could just use the arrows of my keyboard to "scroll up and down" through them. Right now you have to always klick with your mouse on one of them, you can´t use the arrows to go through them.

Multiple items on clipboard
Control+C+1=(copy object 1)

Could copy operations in InDesign use APFS Cloning to save space?
Whenever there's an option that copies files in InDesign, would it be possible to it to use the APFS method for copying where the files are cloned? Like when using "Copy Link(s) To..." or possibly when packaging documents as well. This would help with hard drive space and clutter when working with files on an APFS formatted hard drive.

Make tutorials easier for newbies to understand
Include pictures of where these tools or paths are located. Maybe a convertable word search that offers suggestions of the proper terminology to give the user more ideas on how to search for what s/he is looking for. Insert non-tech terms/definitions using common words and not only geek-speak.

Deleting guides
This might be a bug. If a layer is locked or guides are locked I can't delete all of them. Say I use the Layers>Create Guides and I select remove existing guides, nothing will happen if guides are locked or the layer they are on is locked. Same with the View> Guides and Grids> Delete All Guides on Spread. I can see why this would happen as you might not want to delete every guide sometimes but it contradicts what the option says and becomes annoying.

Find/Change tags
This is important in order to save time and avoid using third-party code editors, especially when edits have been made in InDesign such as anchored images being placed only on some listed items, that won't render in them.

Add tags to grouped items
Adding tag structure to grouped items would help those of us who need to perform 508 compliance on long documents with multiple grouped items without having to go back and find those grouped items and ungroup them.

Fax Number included in QR Code Generator Business Card Template
When using the QR Generator and Business Card Template you have no option for "Fax Number" Yes people still use these mystical relics and want them as part of their QR so it can populate a V-Card when scanned...

Change billing from month to month to one time purchase, buy updates.
I was able to purchase the whole suite in 2004. Now I only need InDesign, and your monthly popup is a pain. Just let me buy the program and sell me updates as they come out. Your popup is inaccurate, claiming I have not purchased the program and would I like to continue with a trial version. I don't want to be bugged by this every month. Just sell me the program.

Option: make subsection headers not persist beyond their ends.
For text variables for running headers/footers, the default behavior is as described in the help: "If there is no occurrence of the style on the page, the previous occurrence of the applied style is used." Not sure if this is a bug or a feature, but if you are using headers or footers for both sections and subsections, and some sections have subsections and some don't, then you get a header with the name of a subsection many pages back, even though it's not on the page. Having an option to turn off this persistence would make this feature work…
