File Lock auto-release
We have multiple editors working remotely, with a policy of locking a file while working on it. But we have a repeated problem of files being left locked at the end of the day, meaning others are unable to work on them. Please add a pop-up on closing a file which asks "do you wish to unlock?".

Ability to track large file sizes cause
It would be a useful feature to allow users to be able to track down what in their documents is causing their file sizes to be inflated. The feature would be an audit of what is in the document and how it is directly linked to the final file size of the document. This would really help in keeping bloat in the files down to minimum, or choose alternative ways to configure files.

Enlarge the size of the panels; so hard for the eyes with PAO after 40 years (Illustrator and Photoshop have this option in user/interface)

Cela fait des années qu'à chaque màj d'inDesign j'attends qu'Adobe permette enfin (comme déjà dans Photoshop, et Illustrator) qu'Indesign autorise dans ses préférences l'AGRANDISSEMENT DES CARACTERES ET/OU DE SES PALETTES!!! Il y a des milliers de graphistes de plus de 40 ans qui se tuent les yeux avec ces palettes miniatures lorsqu'ils deviennent presbytes!!!. Quand on est graphiste, on pleure de mal à la fin de la journée. In the PDF comment window, a button to delete all resolved comments
In the PDF comment window, a button to delete all resolved comments would be useful, keeping comments that have not yet been resolved.
When it gets too much comment the computer is very slow. And the tool for importing comments is very useful in my case.
Unfortunately, publishers here in Brazil make many amendments to the diagrammed files.

Home page (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.)
Please add keyboard ability to CLOSE the big honkin home pages. When I close a document and want to be in my Finder looking for the next thing, I have to mouse up and click on the red CLOSE button at upper left of the home screen to remove it from view. Yes, it's not a huge thing, but a Cmd-W there (the universal CLOSE command on the keyboard) would be much appreciated for workflow.

Eyedropper Tool and locked layers on top, theme tool
Hey, here is an idea; I have a layer with a photo and i have a layer with text on top. I lock the textlayer and select the eyedropper tool. I click on the photo and the colour is picked. Just like in illustrator...Wishfull thinking?
Here is another golden idea:
I have a photo of an interior, mostly brown- somewhat green and overal grey, but there is an amazing pop of yellow because there is one small flower on a painting.
I select the Colour Theme Tool, I zoom in on the flower, and click on it.

File handling behaviour
I would like indesign to First, look in its resident (root) folder for fonts and links, then look in subfolders (ie packed folders "fonts" & "Links") and only then, if it cannot locate them, go looking in the folders defined as "original links folder" or "most recent links folder".
I would like this to apply to both opening a file and to saving the file and exporting files (pdf etc)
and if this cannot be a default behavior, then I'l **** it to be an optional behavior.Why?

Picture form field for mac and overapping with another field
It is also an absolute concern of mine that you can also create image form fields, even if there is a logo on top of them, for example. Currently it is only possible (and only via windows) to create an image field without, for example, a bar with a font or a logo overlapping.

Show traditional version names in CC Desktop
In the CC Desktop app, when you are looking at Apps and seeing version numbers, it's confusing to users when you see InDesign v16, which is CC2021, or v15, which is 2020. If the labeling could be InDesign 2021 v16.0, it would be less confusing to users. We have a huge number of users in our company and when we make the switch to each new version as a group, people look at v15 and don't know what that means.
