Converting text to outline from Tables
Convert text to outline in tables.
Once i convert text from tables, text become a outline and split from table, same time tables are repeated again. It's give me a problem when i working no of pages only tables. My printers always asking convert the text to outline.4 votes -
Make table border setting override cell styles
Currently, if I set a table border via Table Styles, then set a cell style with no borders around the cells, the cell style overrides the table style and the border around the table is removed. The only way around this is to create separate cell styles for the header, footer, left, and right columns and assign those to the table style-- that's a lot of junk styles needed to accomplish one piece of formatting.
My suggestion is to let us choose whether or not the table border overrides cell styles. That way, setting the table border becomes a one…

Table option to disallow breaking across pages
I would like to be able to specify that a table should not break across columns, frames or pages. It could be an option in the Table Options ('Keep entire table together') that could then be specified in the Table Style. Alternatively, if it's easier, I'd be happy with the existing Cell Option 'Keep with next row' to be available as an option to set in the Cell Style, and I could then apply the appropriate cell style as the basic cell style in the Table Style. Allow Lock on Table Rows
Allow locking rows in tables so that we can keep the top row in place on all pages, while being able to add/remove rows without the top row moving up/down the page.

merging cells in a table
I am trying to create a 9x12 horizontal postcard with 4 vertical columns and 5 horizontal rows. Then I merge cells to create different size ad boxes. By the time I get to the last merge, it pulls everything up and looks like it is adding another row at the bottom. For example: merge the whole bottom row into one ad box; merge the right column 4 boxes into one ad box; merge the left 3 boxes beginning from the top into one ad box; merge the center 6 boxes into one large ad box. transparent table strokes
Currently, when we want to make transparent gaps between cells, we have to do very complicated workarounds like extra empty cells doing the job of transparent strokes, which makes the table very inflexible.
It would be very good if it was possible to make cell strokes transparent. Another option could possibly be to add a cell gap property to tables, like we have in HTML - this gap would always be transparent.

Add ability to add multiple header rows to tables
I would like to be able to add multiple header rows (or something along those lines) to tables so that a table style would be reapplied from that row onward. This would allow alternating fills to always begin on the same color after a header. This feature would be especially handy when adding a row to an existing table as only the fills under the current section of the table you're working on would change. Table Cell Background Image
It would be really helpful if we could use an image as a background inside a table cell.
Or even just improve the ability to insert an image directly into a table cell, making the actual cell boundary function as the graphic frame.
Currently we can only paste a graphic frame into a cell as an anchored object, which is very cumbersome to align and position with all the levels of nesting involved.

Need a Tab with GREP/Style Change setting instead of just decimal
SHORT DESCRIPTION: A new type of tab which will accept multiple align characters in a GREP-like statement and/or align on a style change.
The video provides a longer description. In tables involving figures and footnotes, a decimal tab is often not enough. What if the footnote is a number, or the footnote is surrounded by parenthesis? These are things which our clients specify for tables in the financial reporting industry, but apply to other industries as well.
If we could specify multiple characters to align upon, in a GREP-like "or" statement, that would help. Or the ability to align on…

Continued table subheaders (and headers)
- Our main need is a way to specify "subheader" rows which will repeat after the main header at the top of each page. In the screenshot, "Bank of America" with gray shading and "Canadian region" are both examples of subheader categories which appeared previously in the table. We need them to continue to appear as a subheader row, underneath the main header, with an option to add text (in this example, "cont."). Note we need the ability to style the additional text.

For cell styles, add the "Keep with next row" option so that it doesn't have to be done manually for each desired cell.

Table Summary Option as per Word and other apps
Could you add a tab in the ‘Table Options’ dialog window when selecting a table. This tab called Table Summary would be a field that allows you to add a brief description on what the table is about. The information would then carry over to a PDF when you export it.
An accessibility check on the PDF without a table summary produces a warning. Whilst tables summaries are not compulsory for accessibility, in order to get 100% compliance (green tick), tables summaries need to be added which Microsoft Word and other programs seem to do whereas Adobe Indesign does not.
