Rounded corner table cells
We had some Adobe people here to showcase new features in Creative Cloud. One gentleman was named Jamie Ragen. I asked them if they have any intention to create a feature for rounded corners for table cells. The reason I find this important is that some clients have rounded corner objects as part of their style, and it would be good to match that with their tables. This would create a consistent look. Jamie was kind enough to suggest I bring this up in this forum. I hope this generates some action from Adobe.

Create a toggle switch between alternating fills
It would be a simple addition to create a toggle switch to swap alternating fills for columns and tables. This would save me a fair bit of time when editing many tables, please refer to the attached screengrab!

"Yes to All" button when edits have been made to the imported version of a file location.
The lack of a "Yes to All" button when updating all links to a file location is debilitating. I literally have to press enter almost 3,000 times every time that InDesign notifies me that...
"Edits have been made to the imported version of "document name.here". You will lose these edits (with the exception of changes applied to spreadsheets through cell styles or table styles) when you update the link. Update anyway?"
The only options are "Yes" or "No" which requires me to sit there and hit the enter button for each pop-up message for an hour! Not to mention that…

Angled text in table cells
In Cell styles, please let us nominate the angle of the text, don't limit us to the up/down left/right options currently available. I want to put in 45° text.

Need a Tab with GREP/Style Change setting instead of just decimal
SHORT DESCRIPTION: A new type of tab which will accept multiple align characters in a GREP-like statement and/or align on a style change.
The video provides a longer description. In tables involving figures and footnotes, a decimal tab is often not enough. What if the footnote is a number, or the footnote is surrounded by parenthesis? These are things which our clients specify for tables in the financial reporting industry, but apply to other industries as well.
If we could specify multiple characters to align upon, in a GREP-like "or" statement, that would help. Or the ability to align on…

Easier conversion of tables from Word to InDesign
I would love to be able to copy and paste cells exactly as they are in MS Word and MS Excel into a formatted InDesign table. Unfortunately, if there is a hard return in one of the cells in MS, then InDesign reads it as a new cell so you have to copy cell by cell.

Link OS Work Documents
Currently only supports linking to Excel docs for Tables which also loses all table formatting and Header ID. This feature is in need of an update overall and inclusion of the Mac programs would be very helpful.

Include Paragraph Styles in Table Styles
There needs to be a way of assigning paragraph styles to header rows and individual columns, not just cell styles/table styles. For example, I have a paragraph style for each of three columns in the table's header row, One for the Item Category, Regular Price heading, and Effective (sale) Price Heading. Then I have four paragraph styles for the rest of the table based on the column, one for item number, one for item description, then of course the style for regular price adn effective (sale) price. I should be able to include these paragraph styles in the table style,…

Apply Paragraph Styles to a Table style by column
It would be really helpful if it was possible to design a table style that uses a particular paragraph style for each column.
For example, I currently build a catalog with multiple tables with either 3 or 4 columns. Column 1 is an item number that, column 2 is a product name, column 3 is the price, and column 4 is the price with discount in the case there's a promo. Each of those columns has a paragraph style defined (actually two, one with white text, one with black). I also already have a table style built based on if…

Apply Table Style and Cell Style on Word Import
The ability to apply table and cell styles to imported Word documents – and for them to be properly formatted and mapped to those styles rather than just have the appearance of the styles – would be extremely helpful.

The ability to target tables, table styles, cell styles and all other table elements would be extremely helpful.

Search and replace table rows/columns
I would like to be able to search, replace/remove/add (below or under, L/R) a specifik row or column within a table.
I often work with large transaction portfolios with plenty of tables in them. It's not uncommon that clients asks to change/remove a row or column in a table with a specific header/headline/label. I just removed one row on 58 spreads which could have been solved through a search and replace (or, well, remove then). Could also be able to add a row/column through a similar solution (i.e. insert a row below the row with Lorem ipsum-headline). Cheers.

I would like to know if Adobe thinks of optimizing the management of tables in InDesign for the accessibility of PDF files
When will the automatic markup of tables (gender in table styles) like we do for paragraph styles (H1, H2, H3, BlockQuotes, List)?
<TR> row
<TH> header
<TD> data
Example when you end up with one or more vertical TH "headers" so you don't have to manage that in the PDF2 votes -
Convert Table to Form
Should be a simple way to tell InDesign (and later Acrobat) that a table is a form.
Column A are the Field names, column B are the blank fields. No field recognition necessary, just spreadsheet logic. Even a dialog where you define which rows/columns are what would be a huge boost.
Would save 3 headaches: 1) not knowing if Acrobat will recognize the fields, 2) renaming each field 1-by-1, and 3) setting the text formatting 1-by-1 (Acrobat can batch this but InDesign can't).

Repeat Table header?Skip the first row of the first table instead of the whole header of the first page
Duplicate header, there is an error.
Can I skip the first line of the header instead of the whole header.
What's the point of skipping the whole header on the first page?
My header has two lines. I skip the first line on the first page, which is more useful. How to operate?
David Blatner used a method, helpless, no real perfect solution.
Adobe needs to improve.

Apply more than one cell style to a cell
With more complex tables, such as those for financial reports, the number of cell styles required becomes very slow to work with.
This is because you may want one column in one colour, another in a different colour, but then a row stroke cuts across all the columns.
At the moment, InDesign only allows you to have one cell style applied per cell. This means that when you've styled your table using one cell style, e.g. a colour, when you then add the other cell style for a row stroke, it will override the first cell style.
You then have…
