Will it soon be possible to add gradients as well as color swatches to the CC Libraries?
We need to import gradients to CC libraries in InDesign as well to provide more detailed design-guideline components for our brands. Will there be a possibility soon? Kind regards:)

Collaborative, Syncing, Files
Add collaborative qualities to files so multiple people can edit at the same time and sync to update. This is VITAL for team work and educational work. Group work and teams will never go away.
34 votesThanks for making this request. In order to understand the use-case more better I have a few questions:
1. Whats the role of the different people working collaboratively on the same file. Are they always only designers or are other personas also involved.
2. What are the different kind of files (brochures, books, magazines etc) for which this is required.
3. Where is the file on which these different users need to work together on be placed. Should this be on a cloud server, or a shared server.
4. How do you workaround this need today? What are the most important problems with the current workaround? -
Import controls for Libraries
Provide an option to control how a Library item imports into InDesign. Since Libraries created from AI are treated as PDF, they place with the Bounding Box (Visible Layers) option if the user hadn't changed the PDF Import options. There is no way to control the import into Photoshop, as Photoshop doesn't remember the last PDF import option, unlike InDesign.

Libraries
A really small thing that has tripped me up a more times that I wish to admit is that in Indesign the CC Libraries is called "CC Libraries" however in Photoshop & Illustrator it is just called "Libraries"
If this could become standardised across the Adobe Suite that would be great.

If a graphic file is added to the CC Libraries the default name should be the file name
If I add the file with the name companyX-logotype.jpg to a CC Library it gets the name "Bildmaterial1" (in German – must be something like "image1" in English).
It would be great if the given name would be "companyX-logotype.jpg" instead.

Add More Styles to CC Libraries
We'd like to be able to add more styles to the CC Library, i.e. object styles and cell styles. This would be helpful when collaborating on a project.

CC Library Issues
In our pre-press workflow we package jobs for archiving which includes pulling copies of files down from CC libraries. It would seem that each new library names files sequentially 'Artwork 01, Artwork 02' etc. A significant problem arises when you need to use jobs from multiple sources to create something like a folio. You then have multiple copies of - say - Artwork 01 which the software then rename Artwork 01-1, etc. Best would be if filenames could either be determined or are sourced from the filename when elements are added.

asset managers for images
Have an option to directly import from desktop to CC libraries images (jpg, etc.) to have them ready available to insert into the document. As well have an oversight of which images/graphic have been already used in the document.
This would facilitate creation of photo-books, catalogues, encyclopaedias, etc. Any sort of document where certain assets are to be used, especially when multiple similar assets are available and they have to be chosen according to the rest of the layout

Update linked text from CC Libraries without effecting styles
Please add an opinion to "Place Linked" text without effecting the style after an edit to the text. Imagine the text in the CC Libraries is the master. This master text could be placed in many documents with different styles. Let say your company has a tagline. The tagline could be a different font size in each document. This way you could keep a master product description and place it in many documents with different styles.
Thank You

CC Libraries, global changes
It'd be great to be able to update Character and Paragraph Styles used in CC Libraries over multiple documents. Frankly, I was shocked to find out I wasn't able to do this.

Add "Creative Cloud Files" Tab to "New Document" Window
Create a TAB for "CC Files" within the "New Document" window.
When you open InDesign you can select to open a file from CC Files. I have a lot of saved templates so this is a great feature.
However — once I have a file already open, I cannot easily load another template from my CC Files, unless I hunt it down in finder. This would save me a lot of time if I could load them from the New Doc window
GENIOUS.
Thanks

Drag text from CC libraries to existing line
When you drag text from the CC libraries into a text frame that has some text in it, the text you dragged won't be added to the line but it will create a new text frame.
I'd like it for the text to be added to a line in a text frame.
2 votesThanks for making this suggestion. Currently you can right click on the Text element in the Libraries Panel with your insertion pointer at the location where you would want the text to go.
Once you do this you get an option of Placing inline. This way you can insert the text at the exact same location.Let me know how this goes for you.

Workshare
Can there be a feature where one file is accessible by multiple user at the same time? Each user can select a page he or she is working on and lock it while they edit. once they are done, they release it and the document updates.

Make Typekit fonts usable offline outside of Cloud app, just check activation sometimes
It's annoying that I have to close the applications (Illustrator, inDesign, Photoshop) since the Typekit fonts aren't available if I open them before the Cloud application is up and running. I get to work and open the programs right away and forget to make sure the Cloud app is already open. Forcing me to close all 3 and reopen all 3, waste of time..

Allow users to opt out of Typekit and CC Libraries
Typekit and CC Libraries are annoying and should be optional.

Smaller CC Packages please
Why do I have to include loads of programs I don't need if I upgrade to CC? It's bad enough making us pay this expensive subscription but as a graphic designer I only use InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat Pro. Can't you fashion more selective packages? I'm holding out with CS6 but having been coerced by Apple into upgrading to High Sierra it's all looking wobbly. Adobe are the vanguard of the Tyranny Of Upgrade.

Integration of Behance with InDesign
Unlike Illustrator, where it's relatively easy to copy and paste reference images, I find it difficult to refer back to my references. Although all applications throughout the Adobe CC could really use this feature, I especially would like for it to be considered with InDesign.
I would like to highlight/sort certain artwork on Behance that I can then view in the "CC Libraries" tab. This would allow me to quickly view and refer back to my inspirations. I really think this is a missed opportunity, since Adobe has already acquired Behance and shows little-no interest of connecting it with applications.
