Option to set Overprint at 0 % color value
I would like to be able to set objects which are colored with 0% color value(halftone) to overprint.
I need this function for example to color objects with the color varnish and to get correct color separations. Because everything that is colored with varnish should overprint.
Until now I correct this in the PDF I export from Indesign. But it would be desirable if this setting could already be made in Indesign.

GPU preview keeps switching off
I generally make use of the GPU preview functionality built into InDesign, but recently I've noticed that files keep reverting to 'Preview on CPU'. I can't see any way of preventing this so I'm wondering if it's a bug'.
It's not a speed issue for me so much as a preview issue. Without GPU preview switched on, imported images look way too bright with particularly garish reds. I'm hoping it's a software thing rather than a graphics card on the way out. Any ideas anyone?

Quick image adjustments in InDesign
Sometimes when creating a document I need to ever so slightly brighten the image or adjust the contrast, maybe increase the saturation; and standard workflow means pulling these up in Photoshop and applying the changes and the saving (often as a new file so as to preserve the original).
This always seems like alot of effort for something that I feel could be done on InDesigns side.
I am suggesting image quick adjustments.
So an image is coming out slightly too dark. No worries, right click, apply quick adjustments. A new tool box will open that will have basic image…
57 votesThank you for voting for the feature request.
It will be helpful if you can add your responses for the below queries.1. In the absence of this feature in InDesign – how do you make these adjustments today?
2. Once the image is imported into InDesign, what kind of adjustments do you mostly need?
3. On an average, in a project, how many images need adjustments once they are imported into InDesign?

Title interrupting frame border
For a title within a frame, a not-uncommon graphic design method is to have the title interrupting the frame. You can create a title with a paragraph border and shading and then shift the paragraph, border and shading up, but instead of overprinting over the frame border, the frame border goes through the middle of the title.

Add "Blur" Panel (for all Elements like Boxes/Images/Groups) as in XD
There should be an easy and time saving option to blur (0-100%) any elements in InDesign – just like the possibilities in Adobe XD. Especially for creating great web designs this would be a big benefit (more possibilities, less time).

Snapping priority (ignore objects when in snapping distance from guideline and do not snap to outline)
When both options are active:
- snap to objects
- snap to guidelines.InDesign behaves like schizophrenic making bad choices. And it is impossible to place objects on level.
Also InDesign snaps inner / outer outline of object to the guide, so when you have thin outlines (below one point) you never know to which side of outline object will be snapped and it will always be on different level than object without outline. And it creates mess.
Each time when there is a guide InDesign should snap to it in first place, ignoring the objects, and also object should…

Same Stroke behaviour as Illustrator please
Please make it possible to choose for Illustrator style strokes:
-Strokes should not affect the dimensions of a shape*
-Snapping should snap to the actual box, not the thickness of the Stroke- in Illustrator, a Rectangle of 4x4cm, stays 4 x 4 cm, whatever Stroke is applied. In InDesign, a 4 x 4 cm rectangle, with a 1 cm centered stroke applied, becomes 5 x 5 cm. This makes working with grids very unpleasant.
InDesigns Strokes are very unusefull for trying out styles and thicknesses. Each time the Stroke width changes, the shape size changes along.

Unlock InDesign Layer with password
In some cases you would like to create label template (layer 1) than lock it, when you pass it to another user he can't unlock layer 1 without permission (for example password).
The use is for workflow management in order to ensure artwork consistency by using single template.4 votes -
Anchored Objects need be able to apply a text wrap when placed before their anchor point in text
For example, if the reference text for an image falls on the lower half of a right hand page, but the placement of the image works better at the top of that page—or even on the facing left hand page—the text wrap should be able to work before the object's anchor point in the text. Otherwise, when dealing with long documents, this feature is somewhat useless if you can only anchor some of your objects.

Convert paths in placed vector image to native paths
It is now finally possible to place SVG files as well as PDF files. That is great news for the many, many people who create logos and such things in SVG.
Everything you place, however, is still placed as completely uneditable images, which in many cases makes it somewhat useless. Especially with simple things like vector logos, it would be immensely useful to be able to convert the embedded vector paths in the placed file to native InDesign paths to adjust things like stroke colour, etc., in the actual InDesign document. Essentially, making it possible to use an SVG/PDF/EPS file…

Adaptive layout, Simple math, Line Breaks with Data Merge
The simplest example to describe a problem:
I'd like to generate many invoices. Every invoice have different number of products on in, in table. + It would be great to have calculations options in this table. Also i think that controlling line break with data merge is must have. Create special code for ex. " " to automate it! :)1 vote -
