  2. Kurdish Language Spelling

    Hello!
Adobe InDesign has many users writing in and experiencing the Central Kurdish language. People who use this language make up a significant portion of Iraq’s population, which is in the Kurdistan region. Unfortunately, the Kurdish language dictionary isn’t available in InDesign.
I hope you can allow InDesign to add the Kurdish language dictionary as an option for users who are writing in this language.
Or, if you could create a translation web page to add the Kurdish language phrase and sentence spellings in Adobe InDesign and other Adobe products, that would be most appreciated.
    Thank you.

  3. Problem: Text frames suddenly become empty

When working on a +400 pages book, and when I'm in the middle of simple text editing (most of the time; any editing that causes an increase or decrease in lines), suddenly one text frame (other than the one I'm working on) become empty, and all text will move to the next text frame. To solve it I have to edit some text; like adding a paragraph then deleting it. And another fix is by resizing the text frame!!
My version is 2020 last update. Book is in Arabic.
Cannot understand why that is randomly happening!

  5. Use Nearest Available Font Weight Instead of "Unavailable" Error

When switching fonts, instead of generating an "unavailable font" error when a font weight doesn't exist, automatically use the closest available weight based on the previous setting.
For example, when switching from a font that has Black to a font that only has Bold or Regular, simply use the closest available weight e.g. Bold, rather than generating the "unavailable" error.

  6. French dictionaries

The Académie française updated spellings in French in 1990, and textbooks in France are now teaching the new versions. But InDesign does not inherently support the new spellings. The only way to activate them is by drilling down into the files and adding Hunspell manually. ID does support much more recent German reforms, though. After 29 years (which is literally older than ID itself!), it's time for Adobe to support this.

  8. Last Sentence Nested Style Option

Add an option that will allow you to set up nested text at the end of a paragraph in addition to the beginning of paragraphs. Our magazine bolds the last sentences in one of columns and this would be a big time saver.

  10. Indesign CS6 and prior one could easily make footnotes inline for multiple footnotes in a page. Now with the new Version it is gone.

Indesign CS6 and prior one could easily make footnotes inline for multiple footnotes in a page. Now with the new Version it is gone. Please bring back the simplicity of the footnotes and try not to mess up what works. Now the forced and default spacing between the footnotes does not allow for inline Footnotes. Even Peter Karhel’s script does not work.

  11. Add Selected to Dictionary

With the dictionary and spelling options the phenomena of names of places and companies , multi word names that include irregular spelling the idea of add selected text to dictionary should be available. This would let the software searching for spelling errors include the names as a part of the algorithm.

  12. Highlight text to format into columns

In Microsoft Word, you can highlight text and make into columns. That would be great for InDesign too, instead of multiple text frames. For instance, one text frame for a heading, another for two column text. If something changes, go back and repeat.

  13. Keyboard Shortcut / Menu Command to Edit Text of Selected Frame

There is currently no way to edit text in an already-selected frame other than using the mouse to enter the frame. As everyone knows, mousing is less efficient than using keyboard shortcuts.

Please add a menu command and a keyboard shortcut to edit text of the selected frame.

The most logical thing to do would probably be to use ESC. ESC is already the keyboard shortcut to switch from text selection to editing. It should just be the toggle.

(This might prompt the question: where should the cursor be placed? I would say just place it at the beginning of…

  14. Highlight show rags from multiple text boxes ( almost like a smart guide for rags)

A live view feature that shows the edges of rags so you can optically adjust with all rags in view into consideration - instead of dragging multiple ruler guides or whatever.

Saves time and provides tighter control of text and layout

    Thanks

  15. Get Reliable Outlook Support for Changing the Password

If you suspect your Outlook account is at risk because someone is trying to get the personal information of yours without even informing you or taking permission from you, then immediately change the password. 16. Change spellcheck from one language to another within the same document

The Indesign support team was not able to change the dictionary language within a document and suggested that I wrote to the developer engineers for a change.
They tried different workarounds; Right click the misspelled word and change the language in the dialogue box. Did not apply. Changing the preferences. Did not apply either. Changing the language preferences in Creative Cloud. Did not work that one.
I guess this is actually a bug.

  17. Autotext

    Merci !

  18. Larger Windows for Find & Replace

Support for larger windows in "Find & Replace." The ability to paste big blocks of copy would be a great option. I had a project where I was making multiple identical pages with variable names and years. Then we had edits that were needed on all of the pages. If I could easily navigate within larger "Find & Replace" windows, I could've made those changes in half the time. Instead, I went just before and after each needed change and fixed each edit individually.

  20. a better way to make texts on circle or other form path (spline) for pictogrammes

when you have to do it but make a way to have it the most editable way because you have to make it to a lot of different languages. Maybe be a more efficient way with rules on path to automatically inverse it and center it on the center of the path and maybe an option to what part of the text is on one side and what part is on another actually if i do it correctly you often need two path one for top one for bottom part of circular text and when you whant to change one…
